in a Yu-Gi-Oh master dual, pretty much every deck is going to need an extra deck full of staple monsters, but a lot of the best extra deck staples are a very high rarity and kind of hard to craft. And while you're waiting to craft all of the highest rarity extra deck monsters, these are some good ones you can use to fill your extra deck which might actually be useful, and some of them might even be used after you get all of the higher rarity staples.

Just btw, if anyone reading this is planning to run Dragonmaids, a Cross-sheep is a pretty good extra deck choice because of the Archetype specific Fusion(s) is/are easy to bring out and Cross-sheep summons level 4 or lower, which all the humanoid forms of the Dragonmaids are. So, if you haven't already used their summon effects, was able to get a Cross-sheep out, and Fusion summon either Sheou or House, you'd be able to extend rather easily.

I already use it in my Dragonmaid deck and because of this found out that how he explained its effect was not totally correct. cause instead of "if a monster is special summoned to one of the zones this card points to (this is correct), you get to apply one of its four effects based on the type of monster that's summoned there (this is not totally correct)" should be "if a monster is special summoned to one of the zones this card points to, you get to apply the following effects based on the type of monster that this card points to". which makes it a little more versatile. like if you want to wait with special summoning a extra dragonmaid monster with its effect you can make it's effect trigger with any type of monster (if it is special summoned to one of the zones this card points to). or if you go into a lot of different type of extra deck monsters you can make use of multiple of its effects per turn.

You should do a top 10 "Best Practices" in Yugioh. Things that are good ideas generally like summoning boss monsters into defense position to play around lightning storm, not putting boss monsters in the Extra monster zone in case the enemy plays cyber dragons, stuff like that all the way down to basic stuff like setting backrow in main phase 2.

Well, you should pretty close to never summon a monster to the extra monster zone if it needn't be summoned there. Sure, there are some cards and play lines where you want/need to summon a non-link monster to the EMZ, but that's prime real estate to get your links going.

And for sure about setting things main 2. In regard to any card game in general, you always do things as late as you possibly can so your plans are the least interrupt able as possible. The smaller the window for your opponent to mess with your play, the safer your play is.

But what if putting something in the extra zone plays around Cerberus? That conundrum aside, setting in MP2 is pretty much 100% correct tho. I mostly play slow-moving builds that happen to work well with 3x Evenly Matched such as no field spells Ghostricks, and people give away free traps to it all the time when I defend in a way that allows it to be dropped from hand at the end of their battle phase. And here's one of my own: I've won games where the only way I could have was with a move that didn't need to have been available to me, Geonator Transverser. So whenever you put something strong in zone 3 just because that's aesthetically the natural thing to do, that could happen to you to.

Big help for newer players might be "most splashable/powerful UR cards" to give them some nice strong staples to get that they dont need to worry too much about making fit in whatever deck they might be aiming for, though that might be a bit subjective

I'd say Instant Fusion as well could be a spot, as it's limited to one you only need to craft that one and the one UR you can bring out with it is not usually one of the targets you'd pick, so you only need SR's and below for the toolbox. Obviously not splashable into every deck, but as it's just one UR it's kinda cheap in that way. But obviously handtraps are more important.

Puzzlomino is actually really really good in decks that play monsters that cannot be destroyed by card effects. It basically becomes pop a monster for free and potentially also level manipulate your monster. For instance in Thunder Dragon it can be crazy with Titan if your opponent has like a level 8 you want to destroy

I think Reprodocus at “rare” is such a powerful card in this format. I use it in my Scrap Dino deck to change one of my monsters (usually Scrap Chimera) to a Winged Best to go into Simorgh and summon Barrier Statue of the Stormwinds in the end phase.

Shoutout to my guy Number 64: Ronin Racoon Sandayu. It's a rank 2 and needs beast monsters to summon, which really holds it back, but it still just detaches 1 to summon a token whose atk matches the highest on field, meaning that in most situations you get to crash into your opponents beatsticks for free, like Dianond Crab King. Or, with the way it gets used in my deck, I pair it with shuraig to push for game with damage that only misses lethal by 1000.

One of the few cards, that actually might be better in duel links. I use(d) him often with Ojamas or Fur Hire. With the skill "Ties that bind" that boosts the atk of all your monsters by a lil bit, but usable each turn. So it turns the "crash the token into any strong monster" into "beat over anything and keep your beefy token"

I think Ningirsu deserves an honorable mention here. While he is SR, he’s obtained by playing the Solo mode, so he’s budget friendly. Requiring two Link monsters to bring out might make him a bit less generic than some of the cards on this list, but the ability to remove any card on the field while bypassing targeting immunity and destruction immunity can definitely come in handy.

Powercode Talker is in literally all of my MD decks Extras right now. I'm a big fan of Phantom Skyblaster as it's nearly always an instant +3k accesscode thanks to this card...and being able to negate a monster is useful at least 90% of the time it comes out. Skyblaster is another low rarity card that I don't see enough people talking about, probably because it is limited in the TCG, but at 3 in MD. It's just really cool to be able to get 4 materials instantly with just a junk forward or cockadoodledoo + a Phantom Skyblaster.

For example, you can have just a screen shot or a list of names of good budget ed monsters at the end of the vid just so people that are looking for something to play doesn’t have to be limited by the format of the video (top 10).

I use Puzzlomino to go into XYZ plays in my Lair of Darkness Witchcrafter deck. It's possible to simply summon another witch of the same level, but Puzzlomino generally just makes it easier since I can crap out a Genni or something and then go into Rank 7 or 8 monsters on the spot

I'd also add a mention to Number 82 Heartlandraco which is normal rarity. 2 lv 4s to summon, can't be targeted for attacks while you have a spell face up and can detach to attack directly for 2k at the cost of the rest of your monsters not attacking. Really nice to break though someone's stall or last 2-4k LP if they drop something big you can't get over.

In case you don't know the Ningirsu Link-3 is amazing and very generic, non targeting non destruction removal of any card on the field, it's insane. But wait, its a UR you said. Doesn't matter cause you get them for FREE if you clear the World Legacy storyline. Another very good card in that story line is World Legacy Succession.

I think that going over decks to craft is a better idea, even though that is not the style of this channel. I bought like 20 Sky Striker secret packs, because I pulled Kagari and a Zeke before that, crafted two engages and was good to go. I could only do this because Sky Strikers need only 3 ultra rares to be good enough.

It's a new era of top 10s. Move aside Duel Links, Master Duel has entered the arena. Btw, been long thinking you should make a "top 10 cards with great effects that are not worth using" list. Like "Armed Dragon Catapult Dragon," which has a game winning effect, but is very cumbersome to get out. Or a personal favorite of mine, "The Fabled Unicore," which is an omni-negate on all cards your opponents use, but only while you have the same number of cards in hand. I used to have some success with it in the early synchro era, where it could ruin someone's end-game when they were top-decking while my hand was empty. But that isn't as easy in the modern meta. So cards like these have great effects, but for some reason or another they're not worth using.

Top 10 best cards normally sidedecked that should/could be maindecked in MD due to the lack of sidedeck or top 10 tech options in MD. I feel like I'm constantly swapping cards in and out trying to make a deck that excells going 1st or 2nd, so useful insight on this would help.

Unlike dual links and even legacy of the duelist ive had a pretty easy time crafting the deck I wanted. I dont have like all the super strong staples but i was surprised i was able to put it together at close to full power, especially with a bunch of the boss monsters being UR

I was surprised not to see gossip shadow since it can be a negate and 2600 wall not major but for such a low ratty nice temporary card despite being able to give the opponent a card

I main a janky version of Endymion and I was wowed that I could get cross sheep and vortex and gravity dragons which lets you turn any 2 cards and 2 level sevens into 2 negates and a selune which is not a big ask in a pendulum deck.

recently I discovered my new favourite XYZ monster, which is Aegaion The Sea Castrum. it is extremely funny to use, a generic rank 8 and also R rarity.

I use Powercode Talker in one of my decks that uses Scapegoat. I have Scapegoat as sort of a protection tool. However, if I can just use it during the End Phase, then I can Summon Powercode Talker during my turn. Three Tokens become the Link Monster, and the 4th is its Tribute to get to 4600 ATK.
