So fun to watch you talk about my favourite game, you are amazing together! I also dislike most destination cards because they are weak and need a valuable worker to activate. However, I think that this is because they were designed for the base game. With the extra workers that player powers take away and with the less powerful cards of the base game a Cemetery, a Chapel or a Monastery could be a great choice if played well.

Thank you very much for your content and hi from Germany ❤ I do not like cards like the chapel or the bank either. Also the monk doesn‘t give me that much joy.( my boyfriend loves to bomb all the berries on one player, so this player is drowning on them 😅) In my mind I love the feeling of building a city, inhabited by this lovely critters, so to play cards for the sake of amounting coins on them is not my style. I only disagree hard on the Inn. I love the art and love to use it.

Not familiar with any expansions, so was hoping it would be only base game. But still interesting.

for me it would be the shepperd. I've played about 6 games of everdell thusfar so I need more experience but I see it as the most situational. I've never used the chapel and never played the shepperd because of it. Also what does a shepperd has to do with a chapel? idk

I can’t speak for the designer/publisher but for myself the shepherd/chapel naming makes sense. Being a Christian myself I have heard a pastor being referred to a shepherd in the past. So that may be where it comes from.
