I’m 71 and found you about 7 mos ago on KZbin and love some of your recommendations like the Calecim line. Because I had oily skin most of my life and now it’s more combination skin so I don’t have any deep lines what bothers me is skin discoloration and sagging skin. Calecim really brightens my skin, brings color to it. For the foundations it’s finding the correct shade and being a cool tone many of the brands you talked about run yellow or like Valmont there’s like maybe 4-5 shades. I found a great shade with Guerlain Terracotta Le Teint and it sits wonderfully on my skin. I’ll take my money and put it in serums and moisturizers and such and buy a cheaper foundation that may lack the skin care but looks great. Keep up the good work Desi your skin is beautiful and I love learning about skincare I’ve never heard of. I might be up there in age but love to learn about makeup, skincare and fragrances.

I just subscribed to your channel. I’ve learned so much from you by binge watching your videos. I’m not sure if you have had any procedures to make you look so young, but you look very classy and natural. I get very discouraged when I follow influencers that give advice but have had so much plastic surgery or other procedures. Not saying it’s a bad thing but not everyone can afford that or wants that. Thank you so much for your honest content. It’s very refreshing. Looking forward to watching more of your videos!!!💕

Thank you for watching and subscribing! 💛🌷 I’ve never done plastic surgery, no fillers, no laser treatments and I don’t go to the spa. This is all the right skincare. Please, feel free to ask any questions. I’m committed to create more content as of this year so stay tuned. 💛💛💛

@@tracyp444no, Botox isn't a filler. It's considered a neuromodulator, it temporarily paralyzes the muscle it's injected into so it stops dynamic movement. Different things ❤

I've been using the Valmont L'Elixir Des Glaciers Teint Précieux foundation for almost three years now and in my experience it's the best foundation in the world. I use rosy beige and for others with a warmer (some pink) tone it's a beautiful base and doesn't go yellow on me. Love, love love it.

Hi Desi! I LOVE your videos! I am desiring to purchase a Valmont liquid foundation but am unsure of which shade to choose. I live in an area that does not allow me to see it in person and I contacted a couple of spas requesting shade samples but they do not provide this service. I found your video and the sandy beige shade that you are demonstrating looks more on the yellow side. I am more of a light medium neutral and sometimes cool. To you, is the in person sandy beige shade more on the neutral side or does it truly look more yellow as it appears to me in the video? TIA!

I've always liked Janet Sartin foundation and products in general (their white astringent was my favorite). Stopped using it since moving to Europe many years ago. Not sure if they are still around.

Hi Desi ❤ Will the La Prarie Cushion foundation cover Hyperpigmenation?
@desistark7 ай бұрын
Hi! It depends on how deep the pigment but the cushion is up to medium coverage. I used to have hyperpigmentation and I remember it used to mask it but not completely cover it. The Concealer one does as you can build it to full. 💛💛💛🌷🌷🌷

@@desistark Your skin looks beautiful. What product helped you get rid of your Hyperpigmenation the most?
@desistark7 ай бұрын
Niacinamide 4%. You can use a lesser concentration but it will take years. The 4% removed all of them in about 6 months. Tretinoin helps some as well but not nearly as well as Niacinamide.

Hi, Desi: You’re beautiful, and your videos are extremely thorough in their explanation and discussion of various products. Because of your recommendation for the sheerest foundation, I went with The Foundation by Cle de Peau . I know you’ve talked about the Sisley Phyto Blanc cushion foundation in the past, but what intrigues me about that one is that it has a brightening formula for dark spots and hyperpigmentation. Therefore, I was wondering about the coverage, if you felt that the Sisley cushion had a light coverage like The Foundation from Cle de Peau. That’s one of my top priorities with foundation: sheer to light coverage.
@desistark5 ай бұрын
Hi! Thank you for watching and your note!! 🌷💛 The Sisley cushion has definitely more coverage than The Foundation by Cle de Peau. It’s great but it does feel a bit heavier on the skin. It has environmental protection so it needs to be that way but if you want a more sheer coverage, The Foundation is a better option.

@@desistark Hi, Desi: Thank you very, very much for making the explicit distinction between the two foundations. This is very helpful for me. 😊 All right, I will stick with The Foundation by Cle de Peau . Have a great day!

Hi dear! Is your Valmont Foundation in Sandy Beige darker than your cle de peau foundation shade in B30? Help me choose my shade. Im B20 in cle de peau. I dont know which shade to get for Valmont.🤍
@desistark5 ай бұрын
Hi! Yes, Sandy beige is a bit deeper than B30. If you are B20, Ivory may be a better fit. It is just a bit lighter but you can use more bronzer. I sometimes mix the two.
