I love max's car and always feel sad when in the other films the car dies so quickly. At least give it a run!

Most ppl don’t realize, his car is what made mad max . It’s iconic as Batman with his Batmobile

Same with Dominic Toretto’s Dodge Charger R/T and Eleanor.

If by "made Mad Max" you mean the original movie, then maybe that has some truth. But it ISN'T what made the character. It's a cool tool used by a badass individual, and destroyed before the most epic scenes in the most famous installment even occur. (I state this while admitting I'm so big of a fan I carry a Gerber "wide waist" Mark II in my engineer boot daily-love TN's knife laws). Could anyone REALLY think Max was nothng wihout the car? That would be like saying you can hit a home run just because you buy the same brand bat as Mark McWire.

Excellent work, live your dedication to the Mad Max franchise. I believe that NOx was used in The Gumball Rally.

Cheers mate, glad you like these. I am thinking about doing a podcast soon to discuss with a mate of mine the new Furiosa once we both see it. This will be something new I hope catches on for other movies as well. Plus I don't remember seeing Nitro used directly in Gumball Rally, but I could be wrong.

I always wondered in MM2 why Max just drove out of the settlement straight at the marauders camp only to get chased and smashed off the road in minutes. Was it he assumed with his car fixed and fhe supercharger working nobody would be able to catch him - he didn't know they had nitrous?
@MFPMapFilmProductions6 ай бұрын
It might have been his ego. The Gyro Captain was mentioning the settlers were calling Max a coward, so it might have been a way to show off he actually welcomes death in a way.

He drove right at them because there was no way around them; if they didn't have the compound completely surrounded, they were at least camped between him and the road to the highway. He was relying on being able to outrun them, a slim chance but better than staying at the compound. Max was starting into a left-hand turn and Wez was a ways back before they hit the nitrous, so them being able to catch up that fast wasn't something he had considered as he was concentrating on the corner. What I want to know is why didn't Wez burn the hell out of his hands when he grabbed that exhaust pipe to clobber Max's windshield? (Sorry-windscreen)
@55tranquility6 ай бұрын
@@wilburross9709 Yes that makes total sense, knowing the compound is going to get overrun and his car is up and running with a full tank of fuel, he's going to take his chances in outrunning them.

@@wilburross9709 I've watched this scene over and over again and although I am not 100% sure of the logistics, it looks like in the wide shot, Max started from the his left, turned into a curve past Wez and ended up to the left of where he started, almost like a half circle. Though I could be wrong, but it looks to me he did like a similar move like Kevin Costner did in Dances With Wolves at the beginning if that film, if you know what I mean.

Great stuff! I've recently bought Mad Max's 1973 Ford Falcon XB 1:64 model from Greenlight. Been a fan of a franchise since the early 2000's. Love your channel, very informative and stylish. Rock on.

Love your videos and your channel! Saw mad max in April 1980 in Alabama as a 17 year old and couldn't get why the steering wheels were on the wrong side! Had no idea that's how they are in other countries and it was disorienting for a kid in high school in Alabama! You are right to rank the opening mad max chase scene as number one - I had no idea what I was watching but it was amazing! The editing and cameras moving with the cars blew me away!!

Great video and i love the chosen top 10. Personally, I would rate the MM2 opening scene a little higher, but that's just me. I love the efforts you go to with the production information and set photos! Thanks!

I just want a movie were max is driving his own car throughout the movie he can do other stuff too obviously but is it too much to ask that his car doesn't get blown up for once lol

I know I won't be popular, but without the opening chase scene Mad Max is a simple (should I say bad?) revenge/vengeance movie. That scene (and "the last of the V8") made this movie famous.

When humongous uses his nitrous in mm2 you claim it could be the first time nitrous is shown in cinema, well what about when max uses nitrous in mm1 ? ‘She sucks nitro, she’s the ducks guts’
@MFPMapFilmProductions6 ай бұрын
I said "possibly" the first film to use Nitrous Oxcide, plus, in MM1 he is not referring to nitrous oxcide, the mechanic is referring to Nitromethane fuel, its commonly used in race cars and can be publicly bought as well, it does add more power to the engine but is not the same as Nitrous.

Crazy how many XB coupes there are in the post-apocalyptic wasteland... And they ALL have Wiend 6/71 superchargers, and Scott intakes...
@MFPMapFilmProductions6 ай бұрын
The funny thing is, only in the original film is the blower a Wiend, come the sequel, the blower was not the same as in the original and it was replaced with a GM and the Scott intake was a mock up as it was made of cheaper material. Only in FR is a Scott hat used once more and not a Wiend supercharger either.

No way this franchise would’ve been the same if they used a Mustang instead of an Aussie Falcon

The introduction of the Interceptor is the only good part in Fury Road. The rest of the movie is horseshit. There are only three Mad Max movies.
