The JMS/Gillen Thor omnibus was a huge surprise. I loved how well Gillen took the story and just continued it and with his Loki stuff later on as well with Journey into Mystery. To have it all in one books was incredible.

I started collecting omnibus seriously this year and I was happy to see the Ultimate Hickman collection released, it’s so nice to have all the stories together in one place. Honorable mention to the AXE Judgement Day omnibus, I enjoyed the event and having X-Men Red 5 (my favorite issue of the Krakoa era) in oversized format is worth it alone.

Great list! Hard to argue with any of these! I have a real hard time believing the Spider-Man main line is going to make it to Brand New Day… my guess would be sales fall off once they get to the material that has already been printed in creator owned or event titles. I guess we’ll see with UXM v6.

I was there when Brand new Day came, I wasn't that invested in Spider-Man so I didn't have the outrage like you had so I still kept on reading the comic becuase they were good reading. You are just rebeling, like most, against the separation of Peter and mary Jane. The truth was I was more with apprehension during the clone saga because if they went through with it to the end, ait meant a clone was boinking mary jane and all the adventures and heroism was done by a clone.

Putting the awful “brand new day” stories as one of the best omnis for Spider-Man this year is definitely a choice dude 😂 also my list is small and it’s just the marvel vs dc omnibus that just recently came out! @@rap3208correct I didn’t like what happened, that’s why I said they were awful lol. These stories are boring to me. There’s no genuine depth anymore or growth. It’s the same repetitive stuff over and over again. Even with the current stuff with the 8 deaths of Spider-Man. Nothings changing or growing. It’s this constant cycle of “he’s broke, with no job, no girlfriend, not being on time” it’s so boring anymore

Your distate of Brand new Day doesn't really make you receptive to Spider-man stories, until you accept the current status, you'll never enjoy a Spider-man story. Just stop reading it.

ROM was one of my unexpected favorites in 2024. Bought all 3 volumes, currently reading & loving Vol. 1. Glad to see it on the 10 Best list! GODZILLA is another Marvel omnibus I never thought we'd see. Thrilled to have it on my shelf!

Jed MacKays Moon Knight was a big one for me. It’s alway awesome getting a modern run that’s such a hit get printed. My second was Daredevil by Zdarsky! Neither of these dropped this year but just to celebrate I finally got a copy of Daredevil by Bendis Volume 1 and The Loki omnibus!

It was great that Marvel added Gillen's run to Thor by JMS Omnibus. Thanks for asking that! I really hope that they would add David Mack's and Bob Gale's Daredevil runs to Marvel Knights by Joe Quesada Omnibus, whenever they decide to reprint it. They could rename it to "Daredevil: Marvel Knights".

The micronauts are a sales dog for marvel. Both vol 1 and 2 were getting blown out for 25 bucks each for 1 particular cover. All other covers were 37.50. I own them and enjoy them, but I wish I would have waited to buy them.
