Babeando, babeando de tanto taco de ojo numismatico, muy bonita coleccion. Nunca sabe uno cuando va a aprenderse algo nuevo. En lo que veia tu video, saque dos onzas troy de plata de la balanza, una de 1980 y salio normal y la otra 1979 y primero vi que no tenia el error del punto antes de la fecha pero cuando la volteo booom, esta el error que mencionaste de la balanza apuntando entre la N y la U.... fue como descubrir un tesoro... tendre que hacer un video cuando tenga tiempo y le tomare foto y comentare en tweeter...gracias por la educacion y excelentes videos....

I'm barely starting, I'm trying to collect all the libertad years, at least 2000s - 2022 for now. Libertad 2007 it's the hardest one to find for me right now, and it's very expensive I've heard. Should be around 150 USD

Hey there! I have never purchased directly from BdM, but recently they have started attending major coin shows in Mexico once again. Unfortunately, the lines to buy from them start the night before and even if you were to get in line at 4am or something crazy like that, you would still be way back in the line. I wish Casa de Moneda and BdM had better websites that offered purchases directly to customers like the US Mint does.

Yeah I got lucky I found in auction and I got it pretty cheap around $600 with taxes. Supposably there is a limited edition only like 720 made crazy if true 9.999 little over a troy ounce with Jen's so lucky one of my favorite thanks also like what i seen you had have good job buddy

Question, I am a silver stacker but have some gold. I can afford mainly 1/10 and 1/4 oz gold coins. I have some sovereigns too. But I am curious which would be a better stackable coin (even if for a short time) the 5 peso or the 10 peso? I see there is only a slight difference in weight and purity. (one is .24 and .900 pure, one is .23 and .910 pure but some what of a large price difference (even from the same dealer) Thanks brother!

Hey Eli, thanks for the question! Unfortunately I can't give you a very educated answer as I have yet to own any gold myself, but as far as modern mexican gold pesos, they are all .900 fine and their weight and gold content is proportionate or equivalent to their denomination. Here's what I mean: 2 pesos: 1.67 grams, .0482 oz. AGW 2.5 pesos: 2.08 grams, .0603 oz. AGW 5 pesos: 4.17 grams, .1206 oz. AGW 10 pesos: 8.33 grams, .2411 oz. AGW 20 pesos: 16.67 grams, .4823 oz. AGW 50 pesos: 41.67 grams, 1.2057 oz. AGW As far as which one to get, if it's for stacking, I would simply suggest getting whichever you can find for the lowest premiums. There are also fractional gold Libertads on the market, although I believe those tend to trade for higher premiums. Hope this helps!

I sent some Libertads in for grading. I only sent in the ones I thought would benefit from getting graded and would sell better. Also I had some varieties recognized, which also helps bring a premium.

I have a 2022 Mexican 10 peso coin that’s missing the small circular Aztec mask in the center , that space just has a smooth circle, is this a mint error?

I can't be sure without seeing it, but if both the outer ring and center core are smooth, it could be that it's a blank planchet. If the outer ring has been struck, but the center core is smooth, than it's most almost certainly been manipulated to look like an error by erasing the center design. Hope that helps!

No it's not, it's a 1997 1 dollar. Because in the back it says estados unidos, Mexican dollar and it sticks to a magnet.

Thanks for the question! I would definitely agree they are a huge rabbit hole, but I have limited myself to collecting mostly older-style BUs and Proofs for the moment. I simply do not have the budget to takle every year of reverse proofs, or kilos, or magnificent 7 proof sets, etc. All in all, I aim to purchase at prices where if I have to turn around and sell in an emergency, I will either make a profit or break even, but never for a loss. Hope that answers your question!

Los sets 1995 Proof son muy buscados y coleccionados. El negro es mucho más común que el azul de terciopelo, pero de vez en cuando se consiguen en tiendas numismáticas, convenciones, grupos numismáticos de facebook, etc.

Thanks for the question, Sonny! the 1976 10 Peso coin is a fairly common coin, so unless it's in amazing condition, it isn't worth too much. I believe the key date for that series is the 1975 coin, which is a lot more sought after. Thanks for subscribing!
