For me, Minecraft is all about the atmosphere. Most games are loud and action oriented so it's nice to take a break from that and just go exploring for a while. It feels like being a kid again; no rules or responsibilities, just creativity and fun. I don't really get why so many people hate it.

Lots of people hate Minecraft. I understand. This is a game that has a very specific fan base. Not many people may like it, and that's fine. The only reason I like it is how much you can do if you put in the effort, and the servers. If you dislike the game, that's fine. But you can't go around yelling and trolling in the comments about it. Saying it's for five year olds. To be honest, trolling and yelling in the comments is something a five year old WOULD do.

Minecraft is a very fun game, the community is just too big and full of little kids that people avoid it. it's not the game, it's the players. I've been playing and enjoying minecraft since 2009, and it's been a blast. But hey, that's only my opinion. EDIT: I'm going to guess that no one here understands what I meant when I posted my first comment. In which case, I will explain. Minecraft is a game which was meant to be a sandbox game which any age could play. but because of it's charming nature, and simple game mechanics, children tended to pick up the game. which never meant it was for children, it just suited their preferences more, but after the older gamers who were ENJOYING the game, kept getting their stuff destroyed by kids who couldn't pronounce the game they were playing, they decided to migrate from the game. which leads up to my comment, which is supporting Minecraft, and not really harming any children players. they are fine to play a VIDEOGAME. What I was trying to say is, it's not the reason for people to not like the game.

For years I thought that the premise of this game seemed dull and uninteresting; however, I couldn't have been more wrong since this game is the very antithesis of that. If you haven't played it I suggest you try it before judging because it's only limited by your imagination and creativity; as long as the ideas keep flowing, the game is endless. The stigma that this game is "only for kids" is ludicrous, it's like saying "drawing is only for kids," since again, the game is entirely based on your own creativity, and the goals you set yourself. I'm 24 and love this game, it is essentially virtual Lego, something I loved as a kid and still to this day.

1. I'm not being mean, or joking or anything, but did this video make anyone else feel sick? Was it the framerate or something, because (coming from someone who doesn't complain about framerate) this seemed incredibly slow and laggy on the line of framerate... That might just be me though. 2. I think I knew 9 of these. The amount of blocks in a chunk was the only one I didn't know. And that was just because I don't look that stuff up... I've played Minecraft since 2012-2014 and over 6'000 Hours, I used to really love Minecraft. I loved the feeling of building something nice as and feeling..important? I loved going on Multiplayer and making friends on Skype. That moment of congratulations when you receive admin for being a kind respectful player. I was in middle-school/high-school at the time , and was in Community Day School.(School for people who don't succeed/are negative or violent or doing drugs. So pretty much Juvi School. I began to use drugs and drink with friends, I did it to feel "cool" And the only thing I don't regret is smoking weed. I'm 16 right now with a medical disability, my heels or Achilles Tendon on the back of my foot, is very short and tense so it hurts a lot just to walk, and using Marijuana relieved a lot of pain, so when I get older I'm going to get a Cannabis Card so that I can use Marijuana for medical benefits (not smoking it, lol!) as I don't want to use a lot of prescription painkillers for something I have to live with. Anyways off topic. I was in C.D.S and I was depressed and lonely, ripped away from society because I didn't have a teacher who would help me with my work more than the other kids, I'm not mentally stunted but I needed help back in 5th grade , and I wasn't receiving the help I needed, so I said "screw school." And started sleeping in class and ignoring teachers (This caused me to be in CDS for 5 years) so the elementary school sent me to CDS, I was cast out , in a new town with no friends, So I played Minecraft, all day when I got home I would boot up my ancient PC, and play Minecraft (at like 25-35 fps...) I would build large castles and under ocean caves with glass tunnels surrounded by lava and another layer of glass to keep the ocean from turning the lava into obsidian. I expressed my creativity not in school but in Minecraft, I loved having cats and giant towers I could jump off of into a lake, My first condensed diamond block was a big moment, It reminded me I could accomplish something. I played my problems away and started to feel better as a person. Then I discovered Multiplayer when my Internet came back on. I met amazing people, back in 2013. I met a group of preteens as myself and we would ~always play together, we had each others backs and never let a man starve. Our leader made sure we were all happy and that we all liked each other, and we did. Around late 2013 found a server I really enjoyed so I played on it all the time, the community was amazing and I always had fun, so I helped lots of players and talked kindly of this server. (Around 300 people played on this server throughout the day.) One day a player comes to my home and asks if I could talk. I said "ok?" and then I noticed his tag said [Head-Owner] and I got worried. He started talking about my Clan of around 40 players and our village. I got worried he was gonna disband my much loved clan. After a while of talking he said, what experiences do you have with being Staff. I kinda stopped breathing and said "Uh...none." So we started talking about how he was going off to College and how he needed a replacement for Owner. I was flipping my shit right now but I stayed calm. So to sum it up, he trained me and made me Owner when He had to leave. I finally had done something and I was rewarded. So for 8 month's I was Owner of a server with 300 players on average. I worked hard and the 30 dollars a week wasn't bad... but soon I transferred my rank to my right hand trusty man. (Hue_) because it was 2014 and Summer was about to end , which meant high school. so I left from my position and began preparing for school by getting to bed early and all that good stuff. When High school started I did the work and went home, did the work and went home. Same thing every day. I kissed my position as Owner, but I was still Head-Senior Admin. I helped out on the server when I was needed and banned scrubs when I had to. By this time I met the bad side of Minecraft, the Trolls and kids who raged at every thing. One day a hacker decides to DDoS the server and a couple rogue staff deleted the server config files and backup. Toasted the map, and burned everything. After that the server was shut down. I was devastated. I tried play on other servers but it's not the when they are filled with baby's and Trollers. I started disliking the game and became distant from Minecraft, so I started playing Garrys Mod, I love Good. (In 2014-2015 I've been playing a LOT of other games. The community of Minecraft changed DRASTICALLY in 2012-2014 and I couldn't play it any more. I still love Minecraft and I'm going to give the PlayStation 4 version a shot , not Xbox since we all know kids love the Xbox version... Hopefully the PlayStation 4 community isn't horrible. Minecraft has been a large factor to me and I've learned a lot from it, But the community is shit. Seriously.

my favourite fact about minecraft is that if you enable God mode (using spc) and dig past the bedrock (using creative mode) and then fall for exactly 1 hour 27 minutes and 3 seconds you will be teleported to the nether and will land on the bedrock roofing that covers the nether.
