When I play tank/ assassins, quite a lot of time, when I’m defeated out in front of them blocking attacks for them, instead of running away with 9 gems, the gem carrier rushes straight into the entire opponent team, and donates 10/9 gems to opponent team and the win…

So I’m a new player with 52k after a year, and I would add that you shouldn’t only play 3v3 since showdown and duels improve your mechanics with that brawler, so unless that brawler is terrible in showdown, you should practice showdown to learn how to play that brawler for a few hundred trophies

I agree on everything, barring the advice not to buy skins with gems. Getting new, wonderful skins is my main motivation in the game, bling is fantastic but that doesn't cover seasonal, many collabs, mythic and legendary skins. So I ONLY use gems to buy skins, I don't even buy Hypercharges with gems. Yeah, I know, I'm a bit weird.

I always wait for discounts, and I never buy Rare or Super Rare (unless they're exceptional, like Dyonisus Angelo) skins, not even with bling, 'cause I keep that for Epic skins. Still, I'm faring pretty well: I'm only missing 5 hypercharges and I maxed out all but 5 brawlers, which I have at power 9. I started playing in 2020.

The most important tip that helped me become better is knowing to go seperate lanes, many beginners like to all go mid and get team wiped by brawlers like fang and jessie, especially in modes like hot zone and gem grab where area control is very important

for upgrading the wrong brawlers look for brawlers that are likely to stay good instead of upgrading a meta brawler that just gets nerfed to oblivion in a few months, iirc bedlam made a great video analyzing historically good brawlers that are ACTUALLY worth upgrading if you are not trying to just be good in competitive and chasing meta trends

Passing the ball to the opponent does make them waste an ammo if you’re in a 1v1 or they’re slow reloaders, and punishes players that don’t take time to reload.
