As a Gambian, Banjul is an interesting case, as it is an island, while some of the pictures you showed were in the nearby city of Serrekunda, the largest city in Gambia. It is also prone to erosion in let's say 50 years so Banjul might be moved or Gambia might have another capital in the future entirely. All the development is happening in Serrekunda anyway.

East and Southern African Cities are more beautiful than the cities in the West African countries. I'm proud of them. I was amazed when I saw on KZbin, the symmetrical, well planned, very neat top 10 cities of Zimbabwe, which before now, I was thinking that it will look like one of those tattered dirty underdeveloped African countries. But to my utter dismay, it was wao! So amazing.

What are you talking about do you know yamoussoukro or Abidjan, did you already visited those cities? Back 80's After cairo, yamoussoukro is the best plans capital city in Africa but they did not even got ranked in this video. Update your knowledge and accept the truth, we know abudja lagos kano abeocuta ibadan... And so far for me abidjan still more organised, cleaned, special and different, and the fact is this abidjan city is getting better every years

It is true that in most developing countries, apart from the capital city (mostly the economic capital), the other cities remain largely underdeveloped. But at least Ivorians, Nigerians and Senegalese have respectively, Abidjan, Lagos and Dakar to boast of. Accra does not fascinate anyone visiting for the first time. The whole city in the dark at night as streetlights remain faulty. The road network is generally bad. I will not make a mistake when I say, the road network in Yamoussoukro is better than that of Accra.
