So happy that Stanley Kubrick was on the list, little sad that they didn't mention that he intentionally bullied Shelley and told crew members to "Not sympathize with her". She would actually cry in between takes because of the amount of anxiety she was going through. Kubricks daughter even mentions in her commentary of the film that Stanley intentionally treated her like this to have her be the character that he had envisioned.

Tippi story is obviosly made up! I'm not a fan of Alfred Hitchcock at all, but the victim story of big headed snob stuck up Tippi Hedren is pure made-up falsification. And, I repeat, I'm not a fan of Hitchcock. His movies are over rated in my radars. I am disgusted of how some people don't even realise that Tippi is a big headed liar.

Denis Carbonaro Then why did Hitchcock release REAL BIRDS to attack her during the filming of the Birds, not to mention he threatened to ruin her career if Hitchcock didn’t sleep with her
@DenisCarbonaro
@DenisCarbonaro 5 жыл бұрын
@@marcusfairweather9432 I sincerely find Alfred Hitchcock, not simply obsolete, but overly overrated from the start. Birds is so mediocre. Everything about it is mediocre. The scripts are so immature. Actors open their mouths only to talk nonsense. And Tippi is as mediocre of an actor as the movie. Tippi, get a life. The reason your career didn't go anywhere, is because you were mediocre in a mediocre movie. Alfred wanted to sleep with her!? Alfred looks very homosexual to me. This would be the only good thing about him. My opinion of course. My honest opinion. Talk shows can talk about all the nonsense people 'like' to believe. Oh dear! What a silly director, actress and movie! Never mind!

I don't consider working with David Fincher as difficult ... I'd rather consider "tiring". For some actors like andrew garfield shooting as many takes as possible makes him feel more secure + he makes good relationship with his actors (watch the bts of TGwTDT and The social network) unlike Kubrick

Fritz Lang should have been on the list. He was infamous for mistreating actors. When shooting M, he denied Peter Lorre a day off even though he wasn't required for shooting. Also, the scene where Lorre falls down the stairs was shot at least 10 times until he was begging for mercy.

Yeah. In the top 10 Actors who got fired from their jobs, Megan Fox was mentioned. They already said she got fired as an actress from the third transformers because she compared Michael Bay to Hitler. One thing that confuses me though, is why did he hire her back? Is he really forgiving? I mean you'd think that he'd never hire her to be in one of his movies again with how he's known to behave.
@tsrav5
@tsrav5 7 жыл бұрын
James Young If I remembered right, I think it was producer Steven Spielberg who had her fired. I think it was because Spielberg in particular had some sort of sensitivity regarding nazis, and so when Fox compared Bay to Hitler, it didn't sit well for Spielberg. As for Bay, I'm guessing he's pretty used to all the criticism by now, and is actually pretty dismissive about them. Not to mention, there's always space for a girl with a fabulous butt in a Michael Bay movie.

One thing people should learn to do (or at least remember if they already know) in this overly judgemental society is to separate the art from the artist and let the work stand on its own. It speaks to blind-spots in critical thinking, compassion, empathy; not to mention is unfair to let a person's actions in their personal life off-set influence how you judge their work. Any work created by an artist deserves its day in court regardless of their choices or actions. Of course you can like or dislike someone for any reason and can choose not to support them on that basis, but it would speak volumes of anyone if they learned to and practiced making the separation.

Chris Pine supposedly called his failed Avatar audition his worst experience of his career. Cameron apparently makes everyone audition too, no one is a big enough name of a actor or actress to get a easy ticket into his movies (although I guess returning actors for sequels don't count). Ok I knew Hitchcock was a nightmare but how did Orson Welles not make this list? I know his attitude was mostly associated with his actor only projects but he did direct what many consider the greatest film of all time.

Amazed that he’s not even mentioned by the list-makers or even in the comments: Sam Peckinpah. Look up the video of veteran actor L. Q. Jones describing what it was like working with him. Basically: potential for physical violence, potential to be chewed out on set for basically not being telepathic and/or potential to be unceremoniously fired as a result, and would deliberately antagonize fellow cast members against each other without their knowing

A lot of this is caused by frustration, stress and seeking your vision. I don’t think long hours and many takes should be that big a deal but grown men throwing childish temp tantrums is inexcusable. Also physically hurting an actor or crew member should be dealt with retaliation. Kick them off their high horses. The worst one was Hitchcock ruining Tippi Hendren’s career. What an asshole. Anyway, there is no need to act unprofessionally. I don’t care how talented a director is. Demanding is fine. Being a tyrant- never
