I love Le Male and Amen even more. I just bought one for my son. And I dont like it when a perfume gets a bad reputation because of the wearers. Is it the scent s fault? Of course not. The scent is a beautiful piece of art. Both of them in this case. Great video again, Dacob. Thank you.

Love this video Dacob! I truly value and trust your reviews and opinion. Great selection you’ve made for this topic. I fondly remember my Giorgio BH was in my mother’s fragrance collection. I also remember owning an aerosol spray can of GBH myself as a teen. Do they still even make those? I have secretly compiled a list of some your favorites as must haves for me to try. I swear my fragrance journey will never cease. So many perfumes, it could literally take a lifetime. My top energizing perfumes personally are Gorgio Armani Aqua do Gioia (reminds me a sparkling mojito), SJP Covet (lemon peels & lavender drizzled in chocolate), and Burberry Brit EDP for that zesty lime opening.

My best friend in the 80’s use to wear Giorgio- the fragrance takes me back to going clubbing with her in the 1980s in Palm Springs #Zeldas #Pompeii’s and dancing to Whitney Houston, Prince, Madonna, Michael Jackson & Wham. Absolutely energizing & quite heady in those days.

In regards to the Eau de Cartier Vetiver Bleu, without having smelt it, it may be the ethyl salicylate giving that camphorous, tiger balm impression. Not only is it literally a constituent of tiger balm, it has a slightly anisic/minty facet which seems to be present in this perfume. (I write anisic/minty because they are so closely related, e.g. shiso leaf is in the mint family and is very anisic.) The top note of Tubéreuse Criminelle on the other hand has methyl salicylate, which is a harsher ester and gives that perfume so much of its character. As for the perfumer, it is Olivier Pescheux in collaboration with Mathilde Laurent, who made an Instagram post dedicated to him and this perfume, as Pescheux died this year.

This shirt is from Vivienne Westwood. Its called the squiggle shirt and was first introduced in the early 80’s… decades before Tom Ford had his own label. 😉
