Can the new Cristalle EDP even be considered a chypre? I'm confused by those base notes! Either way, I hope to be able to try it someday since I usually prefer Chanel EDP's (I'm in the US so unfortunately we don't have this one yet).

It’s a beautiful and timeless fragrance that somehow smells of how the early ad campaigns with Christy Turlington and a child on the beach look. it’s kind of a smell of ‘home’ Sophia Grojsman’s work is so beautiful and comforting, all siblings, definitely has a dna of her own. I have to agree, Eternity is her best work, I’d say Bvlgari Pour Femme is her second best then maybe Jaipur. I have a vintage spray bottle that says ‘cologne spray’ not sure when it’s from maybe early 90’s

I wear Chanel No. 5 in all concentrations, but the eau de toilette is the one I wear most. It feels most versatile to me. Today I am wearing Chanel No. 22 and it lasted all day. Lovely! Yesterday, it was 1957 coupled with a little Paris-Paris. I liked the clean scent of 1957 with the rose patchouli of Paris-Paris. Yummy!

I Iove Neroli Outrenoir. Please review it. I have Millesime Jasmin, but I’m still getting used to it.

Dacob, this review took me by surprise, but in a very good way. Excellent! I haven’t smelled Apres L’Ondee but the way you construed it I can totally get it. I have L’Heure Bleue (edt) and it does give me a different feeling when I compare it with some Guerlain’s of the 20’s as Shalimar. I think L’Heure Bleue starts a kind of transition to a modern era, although still carrying some traces of the past; whereas I can see Apres L’Ondee somehow longing for the “good old times”. I am curious to smell it though!

I discovered a bit of a lifehack with Eau Premiere: if you apply Nivea cream underneath it, the Nivea scales the vetiver back a little (which is my gripe with that formulation). Had Premiere been just a sandalwood base, it would have been perfect. My secret wish/fantasy is that Olivier does a No. 5 flanker that focuses on the rose since the others are jasmine and ylang centered. Here's to hoping for 2025!

I wore 1 spray of Antaeus on of the coldest day of winter. At the end of the day i had a solid headache and I'm sure my college had some discomfort too. Antaeus is too much for school hahaha. Now I use much smaller amounts I blot from the little sample bottle

How does the vintage No.22 EDT compare to the vintage Eau de Cologne?

I was in my very early 20’s when Obsession came out. It was hard to get, even in the mid size large cities. I bought the bottle of cologne (1st version) in Chicago. I paid $40.00 for it. I was absolutely obsessed with this incredible fragrance. I just tried the current version…it’s horrendous, not even close to the original. So sad.😭
