I personally think Darktail is a very relatable villain. Tigerstar, Brokenstar and Hawkfrost, all wanted power for the sake of power. Darktail however, wanted vengeance because his father was too much of a coward to call him his son. Mapleshade is very relatable villain as well, because every major character in her novella is a jerk.

I think Thistleclaw should’ve been a bit higher up on the list, because in Spottedleaf’s heart, he’s basically a child predator, which is SUPER evil, but hey! Apart from this minor thing, I totally agree with this list! I’m glad you included lesser known villains like One Eye too, because when I read DOTC, he was such a cool, interesting villain!

Clear Sky flip flopped for me. First 4 books(DOTC) I hated him and wanted him to burn. Last 2 books(DOTC) I liked him. CrystalColors To me I don’t feel like he is necessarily evil, but a narcissist with a huge ego. He cared about his territory and the power of his Clan, but he was heartless to most cats too. To me that sounds a bit more narcissistic than evil. And he started to get better later on in the series, as he deeply cares about his new mate and his Kits. But I completely respect your opinion, and I used to think he was evil myself, actually.

Every cat on the list seems to have justified reasons, I know that they’re not REALLY good reasons to kill a cat or want to take over a clan but it just seems reasonable for them to be evil. Tigerstar’s father left him when he was a kit to be a kittypet, and I mean that itself could mess someone up a lot. Thistleclaw’s ambition was influenced by Mapleshade and his grief turned into anger when Snowfur died. Mapleshade was kicked out of her clan, watched her kits die, and then got rejected from Riverclan, they didn’t even want to bury the kits near their deceased clanmates. I think the most evil cat has to be Brokenstar from the moment he was born he was evil and he gave no reason on why he was like that. He had a loving father yes, and Lizardstripe wasn’t the best mother I get that. Lizardstripe and her kits didn’t have an influence really on Brokenstar because he was already born with evil intentions and strong emotions. All the other villains seem pathetic compared to him, because they only are driven by usually grief or anger which honestly is getting old.

I can't remember well, but in Leafpool's Secret Yellowfang confirms that the reason Brokenstar was evil was because he was raised by a cat who hated him. Starclan can't make some cat automatically evil- but they understand how things will turn out when there's no other choice. Brokenkit literally had to beg to be fed, and Tigerkit was fed with dark thoughts by Mapleshade and Thisleclaw.

BrokenStar was abused AND neglected by LizardStripe, his foster mother. Some say he despised every cat around him because of this. MapleShade carried out her vengeance against the 3 cats who indirectly/directly killed her kits. MapleShade tried to save her kits, they were her whole life when they were alive. Then, Maple has hallucinations of her deceased kits, this event made her want to make it up to her kits. You forgot some deets .-.

Scourge is more evil than Tigerstar. Scourge made a whole clan from a lie, which then eventually became true. He killed Tigerstar and took one of Firestar's lives, and he is also no bigger than an apprentice.

tigerstar did have a highly influenced childhood, since his dad left & the only male rolemodel he had was thistleclaw- his mentor's ambitions were most likely pressed onto him at a young age, making him believe he would be nothing without power.

Appledusk isn't bad and neither is Oakstar. Mapleshade had kits with Appledusk, and then allowed her Clan to believe Birchface was the father of her kits, when the real father was appledusk. Birchface was Oakstars son,,and appledusk killed him. Mapleshade was being extremely cruel, allowing her clanmates to believe such a lie. And Appledusk did the right thing abandoning Mapleshade. She was being reckless and caused the death of his kits.

Mapleshade kinda got screwed over tho, first she got exiled from her clan for something that bluestar and graystripe also ended up doing, and her mate from riverclan rejected her for a new mate, which led to their kits drowning. Which kinda sucks and i see why she got pissed off and wanted revenge.

well ashfur went to starclan before the possession arc, then he died in the dark forest and doesnt exist anymore. and the 'he did it for love' is actually the excuse starclan used for him- though i think he shoulda gone to the dark forest

1. You’re forgetting that Thistleclaw manipulated Spottedpaw/leaf. Like, serious manipulation. 2. Mapleshade May have succeeded, but she lost so much. Other cats should’ve known not to mess with someone who would be protective of her kits(all mothers are this way, no matter the species). Also, ThunderClan cast our KITS. There is something seriously wrong with Oakstar if he did that. It doesn’t matter that they were half-Clan, Clans have been known to keep half-Clan kits or full grown warriors even after it being exposed that their parent is in another Clan. And these kits were only a few moons old.

personally, I don't think their evilness should be judged by their accomplishments. I mean, just because they couldnt complete them doesn't mean that they aren't INSANELY EVIL. I think Scourge should have been WAY HIGHER, considering his horrid and merciless method of killing TigerStar. And I also think that BrokenStar should have been way higher, considering how he practically threw kits into battle, an murdered so many. And lastly, I think TigerStar should have been higher. Consdering how he attemtpted killing Bluestar, killed the innocent Gorsepaw, killed Redtail, tried to kill Ravenpaw, wanted to kill Firestar, ended up in the Dark Forest, and created TigerClan.

when i first watched this i just finished reading the Ashfur fire scene and when you said that Ashfur was the evilest of them all as a joke a believed it because i barely knew another of the cats XD
