The skullspore nexus would be a great 1 or 2 of in modern hardened scales. Cavern of souls is an excellent addition to pioneer, aswell as the black tarmogoyf (definately the sleeper card ofnthe set). Good thing the murders at karlov manner is going to have snapcaster mage in it.

the skullspore nexus is actually really broken with staff of compleation. you can pump something then destroy it on purpose to make double its power/toughness permenantly and if you combine this with reanimator you got some stupid stuff going on. then you combine it with all the token doubles and such. really good card.

Sometimes I mix it up. I read a lot of magic cards and saying the same things over and over again gets boring. Most of the time I would say pay 2, a blue, and a black. But having something audibly different can be refreshing for me.
