Honestly if I ever became rich, the only things I'd shop for from these brands are perfumes, because I am a sucker for fragrances, and I feel it's one hell of a form of art, the compositions and all and how they combine a bunch of notes, but.... I might be uneducated but I'd never understand the craze for their merch, and bags and other stuff, like yeah I get that designers put in skills too to come up with that stuff, but idk, i can't explain, but it feels like the sort of investment that I can't completely own, I mean, i can tell people will notice a good fragrance more than a branded purse, and honestly a lot of other purses/ clothes do their job pretty fine

@@fobo3361 oh I don’t disagree with that. They both can be expensive in their own right. But not considered “luxury brands .” “Key identifiers of luxury brands are high quality, expensive and non-essential products and services that appear to be rare, exclusive, prestigious, and authentic and offer high levels of symbolic and emotional/hedonic values through customer experiences.” Some others not within the top 10 that I think of would be Gucci, Versace, Armani, Tiffany, and Valentino. Personally, I think most of these brands sell overpriced garbage and wouldn’t want to wear it, even if I could afford it. Call it clever marketing, but people who wear these brands are looking for an aesthetic that makes it look like they have money, when a lot of times they don’t. They usually PLASTER their logos on everything too, to make sure others know you are wearing it (also part of the marketing). I know I’d take Vans and Converse over these “luxury” brands in a heartbeat lol

When I can afford, I won't buy brand names, I'll buy for the quality. You can't even buy a t shirt that lasts anymore. Would pay £50 for a t shirt that could last me a good few years
@tomlxyz2 жыл бұрын
The problem is that nowadays brands don't even create quality anymore, so just going for a brand doesn't necessarily give you a better product. Also "made in Italy" often means just having imported a sweatshop in Italy so they can put that label on
@papajohnsuk59652 жыл бұрын
@@tomlxyz yep, ive seen so many brands that used to be good, now their clothing is extra thin & full of polyester. Why make a quality product that last years when you can get your customers coming back for the same thing every couple months. Also, people disliking replicas when often they are BETTER quality than the original. And lower quality clothing means more ends up in landfill rather than being recycled.
