He can have a kid with whoever he wants, it doesn't have to be her. Why does she need to sacrifice herself for him? Also, Owen knew what he was getting into when he got with Christina. He knew her and if he truly loved her, he should respect her above all. (Also, tube ligation doesn't work with everyone, there are many cases where people got pregnant even after tying their tubes. And the law in many countries needs the person to have at least two children before they can have their tubes tied because they think that they'll change their mind" or "their partner will want to have a kid", which is really disrespectful to anyone.)

Jo is a more obvious form of female empowerment. She is amazing and she stands up to others with the help of fellow women and surgeons, and that is a moment all in itself. I think maybe the point of this video was to show the maybe less obvious forms of sexism that most people overlook. I'm just offering another way to look at it, don't come at me or anything haha. I definitely do agree, however, that the hallway should have been included in this video. That was the best thing I've ever seen!

Yeaeh, I think Jo has had a few feminist moments on the show. Including the wall of women, suporting Abbey (the patient), deciding to file for a divorce from Paul (a small, but empowering moment for any women who are survivors of domenstic violence), facing Paul, taking the time to try and help Paul's fiance, who was in the same sitiuation that she was. Meredith telling Jo that she's a survivor.

Don’t get me wrong, Amelia’s great, but that wasn’t a feminist thing. No one questioned that she could or couldn’t do it because she was a woman, it was whether she could do it as a surgeon. It’s got more to do with identity than gender really. I would probably have the hallway scene from last season as number one because all the women came together to support that patient. I would have also included Lexie telling Alex off after he objectified her in 7x01. Thought that was a great moment for her. Definitely an honourable mention at least. That’s just my opinion though

He called Meredith a whore after he broke up with her, he grudgingly helped Cristina after much prodding, and he didn't always respect Callie or Arizona in their respective roles. While Alex was much worse in the beginning, he made a complete change. Derek never had the same epiphany Alex did.

@Hudson Donald its not a feminist issue, but it is definitely considered harassment. Izzie is working in an environment where her nudity is not part of the workplace. Someone papered the hospital with photos of her meant to shame and humiliate her. It's not the same as, say, her bringing a magazine to the hospital and showing Meredith what she did before she became a doctor. The intent and context are what makes it wrong.

The thing I love about greys (from a male perspective) is that they don't force all this down your throat like it isn't blatant that they are promoting feminism, but the way they do it is really smart, the only issue I have with this show was Maggie talking to Amelia about the racist stuff, and at another point (correct me if I am wrong) but someone was complaining about how hard something was for them and the she went on to say how hard life was for her because she was black, which I don't have a problem with, but they way she did it was like she was saying that the other person's experience wasn't as bad therefore they shouldn't be complaining which obviously wasn't the Intention but was the way it was perceived
