I would have to put Christopher Walken introducing The Foo Fighters. There is a great story Dave Grohl tells about Christopher Walken asking them where to put the emphasis on their name, and Dave Grohl told him on the second part. When he introduced them he said, “Ladies and Gentlemen…Foo FIGHTers”. That would definitely be number 1 on my list.

One tasteful one was Jim Carrey with Will Ferrell and Chris Kattan in full Roxbury garb (their sketch having aired several minutes earlier) introducing Soundgarden's first song. Another one (and this is actually either really funny or really sad or both) was Chevy Chase introducing Lisa Loeb during a sketch instead of after a commercial break. He had just completed one of his pratfalls during a sketch mid-show and, just as he did in 1975, started shouting "Live From New York" before being told by an offstage crew member that it had already done. So he brushed it off and quickly and stumbly introduced Lisa Loeb and Nine Stories. As someone who wasn't alive during the Chevy recurring pratfall era, I felt really bad for him. This was my first time seeing him in anything since “Cops and Robbersons” and we all know that turned out…

Kinda wished the guest host and musical guest actually interacted with each other frequently to transition from host to the music act smoothly. Don Rickles and Billy Idol was the best example! Guess it’s more about how creative the host can be in their delivery, not like they’re reading off cue cards. Robin Williams made it look natural there! He owned that SNL stage!

Can I explain something that was already explained about something that was already said, please? Can I explain how Paul Giamatti projected his voice and opened his arms as if the rap/rock crossover collaboration was not unique? Can I project my own views on why he did this or why Rose Gordon said what she said? Yes, of course I can, but you can't. I can't wait until someone explains my comment about how the narator repeated what was said, then made her own judgment and protected that judgment through the comment that she made that was based on an introduction that paired a seemingly out of place actor with a musical act. Boy, oh boy... I'm exhausted from this analysis about my explanation about an explanation and comment that was made based on a judgment that informed a comment made by the narrator based on an introductions made by a seemingly out of place actor for a musical act...
