My friend and I were talking about Shutter Island before we watched and he said, “What if the twist is he’s a patient?” To which I replied, “Nah, that’s too lame!” And then.

I remember watching ''Sixth sense'' in the movies and I had to scoop my jaw of the floor when I found out Bruce Willis' character was dead!! Fight Club comes to mind when talking about great plot twists!

Fight Club screwed up by casting Ed Norton after Norton had done Final Confession. Halfway through, I half guessed/half-joked that Norton was gonna have/fake/be the alter-ego. Factoring in that I'm not the last living genius on earth, as evidenced for all the hot sex I haven't been having to liven up the gene pool, others must've guessed likewise. Norton continued the tradition by being a rational person trapped in the body of a Nazi skinhead.

Sixth sense had an insnse plot twist and when you rewatch it you understand why everything happened. A few other horrror movies that have good plot twist are The Others, Before I wake, sinister, kinda Mama, and kinda Oculus, and I think the witch might have had a plot twist

I didn't read it or watch it, but I figured the ending would be something like that. All of the trailers made too big a deal about the guy. Making it look like he was guilty though he was reporting his missing wife. That just lead to the idea that she wasn't really dead and set him up. I didn't know why, but it wasn't a surprise.

Okay but Se7en IS a horror movie. It's a very sophisticated and psychological horror movie, but it's still a horror movie nonetheless. The horror genre is a lot broader than people like to give it credit for. (Don't come at me with the whole "It was more of a psychological thriller" mumbo jumbo)

It's a Wonderful Life had somewhat of a plot twist, where George is taken to the cemetery with Clarence and learns that had he not been born, his brother would have died in the lake and not gone into the military to save the boat that killed hundreds of men. All the other tombstones in the graveyard turned out to be those men that died from George's absence. Still shook today.

Gone Girl is one of the greats. I love how they managed to make it entirely plausible, the differences in her character between chapter 1 and chapter 2 didn't feel forced in the name of shock value. It's an extremely well fleshed out story both in book and movie form, and the choice of actress just hit the home run as she can be so incredibly cute on one hand, and scary AF on the other.

I saw Soylent Green when I was a kid. Loved the movie!!! Scientists have since provin that any creature that eats too much human goes crazy and becomes addicted to it because humans don't have enough nutrition in them to keep the creatures body going. My favorite part of the movie was the clinics you could go to that helped the people who chose to be there peacefully end their lives. The only thing was they were made into Soylent Green!!!

Soylent Green's ending was awesome (although it was heart-wrenching when Edward G. Robinson died in the film, already having been diagnosed with the cancer that would kill him in real life shortly after the movie wrapped). I enjoyed the movie so much I had to read the book it was based on, Harry Harrison's "Make Room! Make Room!" The book doesn't have the same ending, and is honestly a slog to get through.

The Life If David Gale had a unsetting plot twist. A man on death row for killing his girlfriend claiming he’s innocent is finally executed at the end of the film. Then the twist comes when a recording of the murder is delivered and it’s discovered it wasn’t murder. It was a suicide. The two had come up with this plan as a way to discredit capital punishment. She had tided a bag over her head then hand cuffed her hands behind herself. Then you see him step in front of the camera and shut it off. He would keep saying he was innocent until he was put to death and then the video would be released. It was a plan to show how easily innocent people can be tried convicted and executed.
