Honestly, I think I was both shocked and knew at the same time if that makes sense. I always thought there was more to it than him being just a prophet. It's been a while so I can't remember if any of his books told the future or just what was happening. To me, it was like he was writing the story in real time. So I think I was shocked but not surprised he was God. What did shock me was that he was evil. Chuck seemed like an irritable, but good dude.
@Lex777558 ай бұрын
@@Ghostfriend7100 He was a prophet, but he died at the end of season 4 maybe? And after that he said he got resurrected by God along with castiel, but he probably was God from that moment.
@rafaelmatos58518 ай бұрын
@@Lex77755 No, Chuck tricked every one to think he was a prophet. Don't forget that he could alter reality in anyway he wanted. He passing out as a prophet was just that thing when the author inserts themself in their own story. Chuck always considered himself a writer and every universe he created his own stories. Whenever one would fail him or bore him, he would just move on to the next project. The thing with the Winchesters is that they constantly surprised him and kept him entertained. He even tried to test what would happen if they had made different choices in life and the result would always disappoint him, being why he got so fixated on the brothers.

The second it was gone, he was pure evil. Spike, even without a soul, still cared. He took care of Drusilla and way before his soul, started to be there for Buffy. Even after the chip malfunctioned/was gone, he still was there. He literally took care of/protected Dawn after Buffy's deaths/pre-soul. And he honestly, didn't even need his soul, he just wanted it for Buffy. He was already a good guy by his own right at that point.

There are good and bad shows still on now. You don't have to watch the bad ones even if they're popular. If the screenplay approach is your thing, I highly recommend Severance.

This list skews 21st century... can we talk about James Evans on "Good Times"? Bobby Ewing stepping out of the shower on "Dallas"? Sam and Diane's breakup on "Cheers"? The main four in "Seinfeld" going to jail?
@debbieamaral131510 ай бұрын
I was thinking Dallas also. That was a big one
@jijitters8 ай бұрын
The people making these videos expect a younger audience than is appropriate for those shows, I think. Good Times and Dallas aren't likely to be known by most people under 45. Even if they've heard of it, most people under 35 haven't watched Cheers. Seinfeld is the closest to relevant but that example wasn't really a "twist" on anything.

Grey's Anatomy's "John Doe" moment just seems like a rehash of a moment from ER where Omar Epps, a doctor who's treated very badly by Dr. Benton, ends up tossing himself infront of a train; surprise, surprise, he ends up unrecognizable on the table and they only realize it when they page his beeper.
@Gumbier_Than8 ай бұрын
I know E.R. did it first, but I think Grey's did it better. They drew up the drama and bonding with the mystery patient before the twist. Meanwhile E.R.'s reveal was rushed and a bit lackluster. Dude's death being a suicide was not much of a surprise given Benton's treatment of him.

I wouldn't necessarily say the Lost one was much of a plot twist for me personally. It was always obvious to me when I watched the show the first time those "flashforwards" weren't flashbacks. While the show can definitely be confusing to watch for the first or even a second time, all those "flashes" off the Island only showed the people who left the Island the first time...not to mention certain details of Kate's life tend to change from the flashbacks and "flashforwards" lol.
@ashicecream10 ай бұрын
Oh okay good, it's been forever since I've seen it, but I definitely don't remember that being a "huge twist".
@Nyantrii10 ай бұрын
@@ashicecreamyeah I dunno for me I wouldn't consider that a plot twist lmao. Since it didn't really change the plot other than those particular characters trying to adjust to life again back home. I would consider the "flashbacks/flashforwards" that come after they return to the island the bigger plot twist...

Spike did not fight to regain his soul, he asked 'to be his former self' so he wanted to be the hardcore vampire he was at the beginning of the show. Giving him his soul back was sort of a trick from the demon who knowingly interpreted his words liberally.
@Ebbagull10 ай бұрын
No. That's not true at all. Spike always meant to get his soul. All behind the scenes commentary, and dialogue on the show - all are very clear on this point. It is not ambiguous, except at the end of season six, where the point is to trick the viewers that he's going to go bad. They lied to James Marsters for that one monologue, which I think was a terrible decision, but he was told during the scenes with the trials what Spike was there for. It was decided from the beginning, you have just misinterpreted everything that came after because of the bait and switch they did to fool us.

um... Kimberly wig reveal? THAT moment literally changed the entire show from then on. And remains iconic and untouchable. How is that not #1?
@garibaldilebeau8 ай бұрын
Close, but Spike’s s6 twist wasn’t a reframing at all. He had spent the season hurting at being rejected by Buffy, and was searching a way to truly hurt her, a way back to the ruthless villain he once was. He didn’t want his soul back, but that was what he was given
