Fun fact good as gold actually negates ALL status moves, excluding you boosting stats with nasty plot for say. Think of it like this. You have a pokémon with helping hand and want your gholdengo to do more damage if you use helping hand on it it won't work due to good as gold

Yeah, that's what I thought made Murkrow such a common one. There are definitely better Prankster TW mons, such as tornadus and whimsicott, but being the only Prankster mon with Haze allowed it to counter Dondozo + Tatsugiri

It's bc most ranked battles are doubles. For example, Murkrow and Indeedee are absolute GARBAGE in singles. But in doubles, they are very good bc of their support options

Simple. Whimsicott isn't in gen 9. Until pokemon home releases for scarlet and violet, murkrow is the only pokemon with this combo. Not to mention Murkrow gets haze which is _really_ relevant in doubles

Corviknight is also being used a lot as a tank and mirror armor. Clodsire, skeledirdge with unaware. Cinderace's libero which isnt debuffed like protean(idk I think protean will only switch its typing once now and wont change typing until switched in again idk) and... Another good grass Pokémon in gen 9 is toedscruel. While it’s only good/decent stats are it’s speed and spD it’s one of the best Pokémon to set up things such as spores, and spike varients (spikes, toxic spikes etc)
