It’s definitely an interesting set. I like the fact that some cards have multiple hall of famers on the card. But given the size of the cards the images are really small.

Thanks for compiling and sharing, John. Figured the Ruth four player card would be number one on the list. Of the three color sets that you have reviewed, this is my least favorite.

My pleasure Kevin. I agree. This is my least favorite Goudey set. I can see why some collectors like it though since it's a cheaper alternative to players in other Goudey sets and some cards have more than one hall of famer on it.

I wonder how many live in SGC holders, which are more popular the older the card. The overall pops might be at least twice what is shown in the PSA records.

You make a great point Mike. I'm sure there are more of those cards graded by SGC. So the PSA pop does not tell the whole picture of how hard those cards are to find. But it still impacts the price for those looking to purchase a PSA graded copy of a card.

I will assume number 15 are all common players? same with 14, I will assume that 15 down to 11 are all commons? 9 we'll call the Cochrane and Gehringer card? 8th place i'm assigning to Hoyt Wilheim 7. Cochrane gets this spot , 6. assuming it's the same player i'm thinking of we'll call it the Traynor? Pie Traynor? 5. Jimmy Foxx ? 4 Hank Greenberg.? 3. Frankie Fritsch / Dean 2. 1. Ruth so which would you rather have the Pie traynor/ Lucas in a 3 or 1976 Homerun leaders card number 2 Nettles/Schmidt in a 7? which would you rather have Cochrane/ Gehringer in a 3 or 1972 Astros rookie stars JR. Richard in a 7? card 101 The Hoyt Wilheim assuming it's him / Waner in a 3 or Andre Dawson 1977 in a 7 ? The Jimmy Foxx in a 3 or Mike Schmidt rookie in a 7?

I believe all the cards 15 to 11 have at least one hall of famer on it. They may not be the most recognizable, but they are still hall of famers. For every choice you listed, I would pick the Goudey card. The only one that might be close is the Foxx or higher-end Schmidt rookie. But I don't really need a Schmidt rookie in that high of a grade (I'm perfectly fine with my PSA 5 copy). I know you like 70s cards, but I would love to have playing days cards of some great hall of famers.

@@WadeBoggsFan Yeah the 70's are my time period while we understand that theres less cards in the 1935 set that made it being it's more rare the 70's would be in better condition and I didn't grow up with the 1935 cards. yeah the 1935 cards look nice.
