Another option is to go just north of Redline Rig. Max of 7 chests by the way. There will be a tall rock with 1-3 chests on the top. Once you've gotten those, zip down and go west to a buried house. There, you will find 0-3 chests. After that, head south toward a tree for an extra chest, ammo box and 5 slurp barrels. Then, you should be ready to push medallion players or kill the boss if it hasn't been killed yet.
