I wish you fragrance guys would do a video on the longevity that colognes or perfume can sit without going bad. How to store them etc. I had a friend who kept his colognes by his window that the sun came through and the colognes seem to have smelt different than the bottles of the same kind I have. This colognes stuff can be addictive. I started off 2021 with 2 bottles of cologne, I ended the year with 41 bottles.

Favourite winter perfume: 1) Maison Margiela By the fire place - So warm and inviting ! with a spicy sweetness to it . A warm fire place on a cold winters night in a bottle! 2) Mancera Red Tabacco - Warm spicy Tabacco scent that has brought many a compliment! 3) Al Haramain Amber aoud Tobacco - I prefer this over Tobacco Vanille as the Tabacco note here is dirtier! Polarsiing but I love it !

When I first smelled Amber Kiso I threw my head back and laughed at how realisitic the leather is. Then had to ask the dealer what sample she had sent me as the label was in Chinese. I soon ordered a 50ml, the 100ml sold out while I was trying not to buy anything at all. It's the leather fragrance I've been searching for. A true love at first sniff.

Awesome list. Loved your designer list but this, of course, is on another level. I haven't smelled Au Coeur du Desert but L'Air Du Desert is also one of my favorites. Coeur du Desert and Overture Man would probably be my favorites from your list. My tops, probably, for this winter: Carner Barcelona El Born, Mancera Black Prestigium, Mancera Black Gold, Chanel Coromandel, Chanel Le Lion. Amouage Jubilation XXV. Cheers!

You definitely mentioned some whoppers that I need to reach for more. One of the problems when your collection gets a bit large. Stuff inevitably gets pushed to the back and overlooked. Don't get me wrong, I feel rather fortunate to have such a "dilemma" in my life. Pierre Montale created Montale first and then in 2008 he created the house of Mancera so it's basically 2 houses under the same company umbrella created and owned by perfumer Pierre Montale
