Wow Compass Cove didn’t make the list? I’ve stayed at 1/3 of these hotels and Compass Cove definitely deserves to be on this list somewhere.

Yes, Compass Cove is really nice. We've stayed there several times before. Not sure why Trip Advisor didn't include it on this list. We want to make a top 10 of places that are never on these lists, but look great. We'll get to it one day. Thanks for watching and the comment.

This is a great resource for anyone planning a Myrtle Beach vacation, especially those looking for an oceanfront resort! Those top 3 resorts all sound amazing, with something to offer everyone - from the luxurious Marriott at #1 to the fun-filled Dunes Village at #2. There are many still dated one on the strip. However, they have been revitalizing the strip slowly and even some that were really bad, have been torn down and new one's built. We've stayed in a few, years ago. We liked the Crown Reef and the Holiday Pavilion. Both had great things to offer, but that was a while back when the kids were small.

I believe Myrtle Beach is a little bit cheaper than fort Lauderdale. But fort Lauderdale has better climate. A little warmer.

⁠ I would never stay anywhere else and we’ve been going for 25 years and stayed in them all in the beginning. It’s worth the money. Have stayed there for the last 15 years religiously. Give it a try.

What I don't understand is why you rate Ocean 22 over Ocean Enclave. Ocean Enclave at the end of the boardwalk which makes it convent to lots of Restaurants and establishments. Ocean Enclave is also newer and I think is much nicer.

If it were us rating, we'd probably put the Enclave over 22 like you. We just reported what was ranked by reviewers on Trip Advisor. Not sure why people didn't have Enclave high on the list. Maybe next year it will be higher. Thanks for putting that out there. I'm sure others like Enclave better too.
