Enies Lobby was definitely the best arc so far. Whole Cake Island was them running away most of the time rather than fighting and Alabasta was decent, but we didn’t see all those new techniques just pop up outta nowhere like they did in Enies Lobby (Luffy’s 2nd and 3rd gears, Zoro’s Ashura, Sanji’s Diamble Jambe, Chopper’s Monster Form, etc.).

AngryAnimeFan2 the WB and Akainu wasn't one sided, many of it was pretty much filler. Akainu ripped off Whitebeards skull and when he got hit was because he was attacked from behind. Of course the anime will not show it for the sake of anime. Just like how Luffy instantly one shotted Doflamingo in the final hit instead of a useless struggle.

Y’all missed one of the best fights in my opinion, Franky vs. Senior Pink. From the diaper bombs vs. Nipple lights, the quick shot of them breakdance fighting, to Senior Pinks heartbreaking back story. That fight was a true testament of how well One Piece can create an emotional attachment to an seemingly benign minor protagonist.

The New World fights are good, but most of the best ones were mostly in the pre timeskip. The New World’s most exciting fights have been in Dressrosa so far. Fishman Island wasn’t so bad, but a lot of those guys were nothing but a warm up for the Strawhats outside of Hody Jones. I think only Luffy came out of the ordeal injured and that’s only due to being in a disadvantage fighting in saltwater.

That is because Oda is holding back on the fights since the timeskip for pretty much every Strawhat besides Luffy. Not a single crew member had to go all out in a fight yet. Oda is saving all the big fights for the Wano arc.

The Enies Lobby arc has some of the best battles in the series. It showed how much progress everyone all made in getting stronger at that point in the story. It also laid the groundwork for their current abilities.

If Law didn't help Luffy with Gamma Knife, he wouldn't have a chance against Doflamingo even in Gear 4th. He needed to take a break even with Law's help. Doffy is so underrated. How about Top Ten times the Straw Hats were nearly killed by their own stupidity? Like the time Sanji nearly bled to death out of his nose from seeing too many attractive women, the time Luffy dug right into a poisonous fish without listening to Nami first, the time Zoro thought fighting a fish-man underwater was totally feasible, or the time Luffy saw a guy who was literally made out of poison that could be absorbed through the skin and thought: "Yeah, I can take him in a bare-knuckle fistfight."

1. Luffy v Lucci deserves the number 1 spot fosho. (For now at least) 2. There could have been some better fights on this list 3. The OP dub is amazing. I have watched the series/movies and there’s really no reason to hate on the dub. The dub VA’s really put some emotions in and the Japanese and Original is awesome but I wouldn’t say so far from English.
