Some shake their fists barbarically at their opponent, meaning "I will bash your head in". After a point Roger would turns around and nor receive any reaction from the opponent. His pump, on the contrary, where limited to self-reinforcement.

@Wimbledon - Now that Roger has retired, please try and consider uploading all of his matches at Wimbledon in this amazing quality. All of his matches should be publicly available now, they should be selected for preservation as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant", just like the US Library of Congress does with classic outstanding movies.

@@emmyelijah7395 Most certainly! Losing it doesn't mean he wasn't the better player throughout, it just means that he couldn't close the match out, for whatever reason. I say it's destiny, others may say differently. But matches like Wimbledon 2019 and Roma 2006 need to be preserved because they are among the greatest examples of Federer's playing ability...which is what attracted millions on millions of people. Human beings respond instinctively to the aesthetics of the human body and human motion and Federer's incredible style of play was the perhaps the greatest aesthetic show in 21st century sport.
