This is the best, or ONE OF the best seasons in Sens' history. 50 years from now, if the Sens still exist will be one of the teams most memorable seasons. Karl still around, Andy in his prime & his shutout return after leaving to be with his wife (cancer), Neiler's last seasons, MacArthur's playoff return, Pageau's 4 goal game, Methot gettin his finger chopped by Crosby, and the team's overall playoff push. With how the Preds got rolled over in the finals, I think the Sens would've had a decent chance to win this cup this year. I'm obviously biased, but we put up a good fight against a BETTER team in the Penguins, and they went on the win the cup. With all the long time, and notable players on this roster, I think (as a younger fan) that this would've been THE TEAM to win the cup with. I know Alfie, Spezza, Heatley, Fisher, Chara, Redden, Philips, and many other big names aren't there from past playoff runs, I think this would've been our best chance.

Showed up in my feed tonight. The team is so very different and the SICKOS mentality came from the aftermath of this run. Going into the next season it's nice to have a team to look forward to again, a team to hope in again. But I'll never forget this run. Not if I can help it. I miss so many of these players, possibly none more than Anderson and Pageau.

A magical run that hurt more than losing in the Cup Finals. The stars seemed like they were aligning for our boys. Heart-and-soul guys showing up, Karlsson playing in another universe. Bobby Ryan scoring super-clutch goals. If only Mike Hoffman's wife didn't open her mouth...

Hahaha, i think hoffman leaving is the ONE good thing..genius shot once/20 but his defence was MVP level of trash. Ryan/Turris had 5 times his hands but yeah, he was the trigger to Dorion's psychosis that year.

I loved this roster! It absolutely stung like no other franchise I rooted for in any sport when the Sens lost in the ECF. So, so proud of them that year! 🥹
