Boy, how close the Sens came that year to playing against the Nashville Predators for the Stanley Cup; one shot away, that was it....but it was the Penguins that broke their hearts in the end, in particular Chris Kunitz in Double-OT.
@@Danny9 I don't blame you....I know what it's like to see my team lose in a conference final Game 7( happened a long time ago tho )...it takes a long time to get over something like that.

@@flylogan2954 To make a long story short, Karlsson's wife had a miscarriage and someone started harassing her about it. It was suspected that the culprit was Hoffman's fiancée (I don't remember why though). That caused a rift between Karlsson and Hoffman and it caused a divide in the Sens locker room, which eventually led to them both being traded

I get sad watching this, I was going through some hard times in my personal life while the sens were on this run and I remember watching the games and forgetting what was going on in my personal life. When they beat the Bruins to advanced to round 2 it was on my 21st Birthday. I did not catch the Turris OT goal live on TV I was a block away from home when I got the notification. I still can't believe that we were robbed of having both 61 and 65 in the rafters of the CTC but even though are Owner is a POS I am excited to see Brady Tkachuk and Thomas Chabot play some meaningful hockey with the sens in the future I can't wait for the Draft Lottery.

I just wanna say as someone who doesn't watch hockey anymore because of how this run ended, 2017 hurt more than 2007. I think he's given up too, but I have a grandfather who I just wanted to see have his team finally win it all before he dies, probably wont happen now.

Perhaps just my opinion, the Sens never played a boring style, when the team was competitive in 2007 and 2017, the players played a slick high skilled game. Alfie Heatley Spezza, Karlson Ryan, Stone and many others Fish, Peugeot etc... It made them fun to watch. GO SENS GO!

I forgot how much better the Rangers actually were in that series. We were clearly the better team for most of every game aside from game 1 (lucky GWG) and game 6. I get why you Sens fans love this series so much but it's mostly because you practically stole the series from us. We actually outscored you 20-19 in the series. Sorry for being so salty but this was the most frustrating series I've ever watched as a Rangers fan. At least we both have good futures although one is clearly a little brighter.
@thekandycinema31934 жыл бұрын
It's because Game 3 and 4 were absolute blowouts, that's why the score differential is that way. The Rangers ability to hold leads was awful throughout the series and this was proven in Game 2 and Game 5
@Jacob-zm1cu4 жыл бұрын
the better team wins the series and I gotta say the right team won that second round series the sens found ways to win and thats what you have to do. Sens have the best prospects in the nhl without lafriener or byfield
@mrpeppery4 жыл бұрын
No, I totally agree with him. If the Rangers had won just two more games they would have won the series. They totally got ripped off when Ottawa scored more goals than they did in 4 of the 6 games. I mean, you take Karlsson, Stone, Hoffman, Ryan and Pageau out of Ottawa's lineup and the Rangers totally win that series hands down. They were clearly the better team. ffs...
@jacobfriedman85894 жыл бұрын
@@mrpeppery I think you completely understand what I'm saying. As hard as it was to watch it happen it's also hard to watch people deny that the Rangers played better for most of the they games they lost as well as dominating the games they won. We led for almost 3 full games and the reason you guys won in 6 is that we shot ourselves in the foot late in games. I guess it wasn't the best idea to point this out in a vid showing every goal they scored but I can't remember another series where a team won in less than 7 games while leading for so little of the series.
@mrpeppery4 жыл бұрын
Jacob Friedman well, they decide who wins the game by who has the most goals at the end. In the early zero’s the Sens played the Leafs in the playoffs something like four times in a row and lost each series. For most if not all of those series the sens outshot and “outplayed” the Leafs. But the Leafs scored the goals that mattered. They won the games. They were the better team . Sometimes it goes that way. This past season the young sens lost many games when they completely out worked the opponent. Out working your opponent is the name of the game but it really only matters in the end when it leads to your team scoring more goals than the other team. It’s fair to say that the Rangers outshot, outskated, our-hit or outworked the Sens if you feel you can make an argument for that case. But declaring to the world that the Rangers were obviously the better team doesn’t make any sense when they lost 4 of 6 games. That’s ultimately the only stat that matters. Denying that makes one sound like a sore loser. And I don’t think that’s what you are trying to be.
