Many Pokémon in the entire Pokémon universe are in a constant competition between one another to even be noticed by Pokémon players everywhere. Which of those Pokémon can make it to the top of a list on just which of those can be considered overshadowed by another Pokémon or something else in the game that doesn't give them the popularity they deserve. These 10 Pokémon are still great Pokémon but can almost never be brought up without being constantly compared to another one, we look to find just which 10 Pokémon can make it to the top of this list in the Top 10 Overshadowed Gen 1 Pokémon! Opinions: 10: We laugh but Fearow is lowkey one of the best Flying Types in Gen 1 outside of Dodrio. 9: Pinsir is okay but I prefer Heracross. Also, that older brother metaphor hit hard since I know you're irl friends with my brother. 8: I actually prefer Hitmonlee tbh. Probably the best of the Hitmons in single battles 7: Poor Farfetch'd. Thank goodness Sirfetch'd exists to save Galarian Farfetch'd 6: Tbh, I kinda of like Zubat since he evolves into an amazing Pokémon in Crobat 5: Tbh, Flareon is kiiiiinda bad. That Speed stat just holds it back too much. 4: I actually prefer Moltres over the other two, even if I use Zapdos far more often. Moltres just looks prettier 3: We laugh but both got buffed hard and I actually prefer Beedrill due to his amazing Mega Evolution 2: We laugh but Venusaur is actually the best of all the Kanto starters both in game and competitive due to not relying on Shell Smash and isn't completely neutered by Stealth Rocks. 1: Honestly, I like Raichu a bit more than Pikachu. But I actually prefer Pichu. He's even one of my Smash Ultimate mains due to him being very good, even after the 3.1.0 Patch nerfed him.

Venusaur will always be my favorite of the starters. I keep seeing Blastoise and Charizard fans throwing shade at each other left and right, while I’m just glad to have s super balanced starter who gets at least one useful ability/move every Gen.

Let's not forget they gave Pikachu a G-Max form. Not even Raichu, just Pikachu. They did that to Eevee too but I'm bias and like Eevee and all of Eevees evolutions while liking Raichu 100x more than Pikachu.

"Moltres looks undercooked in its shiny." Lost my s#!t at that, that was funny. I still think both Venesaur and Blastoise deserve two megas and a Dynamax, and I had a suspicion that Raichu was going to be number one on this list. I love Raichu, its awesome! Its fully evolved nut still looks cute, you can't say that about most fully evolved Pokemon. I think Raichu should get a mega evolution, that looks like what Gorochu might have looked like, where its speed and special atk are really high, and if it knows any electric attacke that do recoil damage like Volt Tackle, it does slightly less damage to show its mastery over electricity. That would be really cool.

Well yes. But in gen 1, Pinsir and Scyther were rivals, because they were counterparts. However, counterparts are subject to change (The starters can be considered counterparts as well, but since they are obvious i don't mention them, same with the fossils) Gen 1 counterparts: Scyther and Pinsir, Oddish and Bellsprout line, Muk and Weezing, trade evolutions, Jynx and Mr.Mime, Electabuzz and Magmar, Jigglypuff and Clefairy, Vulpix and Growlithe and Meowth and Sandshrew, Beedrill and Butterfree Gen 2 counterparts: Oddish and Bellsprout lost counterpart status due to Bellossom becoming a thing. Mr Mime and Jynx lost counterpart status due to Smoochum, Pinsir lost Scyther due to Scizor, but got Heracross instead. Then we have the regional forms with Sandshrew and Vulpix (Meowth losing Sandshrew) and Muk losing Weezing because of it and Golem de-taching himself from Machamp Gen 8: Now, this one is interesting. Farfetch'd gets a regional evolution and so does Meowth. Both are gen 1 mons and 2 stage. Galarian Corsola and Yamask. Pincurchin potentially gets Pyukumuku as its counterpart, then we have Eiscue and Stonjourner, with Machamp losing Alakazam and Golem as counterparts, but keeping Gengar, as those 2 got a Gigamax, while Alakazam and Golem didn't.
