I remember watching that Falcons preseason game in 2018 when he threw that bomb to Hill. I've been a Chiefs fan since '92, and that throw was the moment when I knew this dude was unlike any QB I'd seen in KC. I was excited for the possibility of a SB appearance for the first time in 50 years, but I had no clue just how good he would be.

I just hope Mahomes can learn new play style when time goes on. I mean he is fast and can do very very good throws even when he is going down and that is amazing. But he will get older, slower and whit his current play style he will get injured for sure. As a Chiefs fan going into that game I knew there was very little chance to win. The only starting OL playing his original position was the center Austin Reiter. Three starters were out and Andrew Wylie had to flip from guard to LT that game. Every single Chiefs offensive lineman that game was a backup level lineman against the best pass rush in football that year.

The reason why some people have criticism of Mahomes is because they’re likely fans of a team who doesn’t have him on their team’s roster cept the team that they’ll ever get lucky and have him on their favorite team is their fantasy team. They have what I’m now calling the Tom Brady syndrome cause some people were like that towards Tom Brady for a while till he got washed up and they turned to Mahomes.
