I met him at around 2008 when he was doing a fund raiser in Stanford. he was walking down University Blvd and I was with my friend who is obsessed with golf (at the time, I hated golf)... He is a really chill guy. Very nice and a class act.

John O'Neill, I suggest you try playing golf sometime. You'll soon realize it's in fact very difficult and tiring to play a full 18 holes walking the course and staying consistent.

John, no it's not! All the top golfers spend hours every day training at the gym, especially working their core (hips, abs, back), so it is not a lazy man's sport at all. Try walking an 18 hole golf course; the average is 5 1/2 miles. Try doing it without a caddy, or push/pull cart but old school with the clubs on your back. I can tell you golf is as athletic as any other sport. And unlike other sports, it is incredibly difficult to learn as it is a highly technical sport.

I think it's fair to say, for the better part of the 2000's, some of the most jaw dropping shots we've seen have come from Phil, Tiger and Bubba (Although many say Bubba's a tool). All have hit some crazy shots.

He's the like one of the kindest and most honest professional golf players out there. I was at the Arnold Palmer Invitational on Sunday last year, and after he finished his round he stood at the signing booth for about an hour and a half, signing. GO PHIL!

I was at the Ryder cup at Celtic Manor, the last day was rained off, most people couldn't stay for Monday, me and my brother did, I followed phil round all day. 1st hole was foggy, I was on my own at the rope, he was in the rough, you couldn't see the ball, the green was raised and like an upside down bowl. Its just me him and his caddie. He says to his caddy, "gime the 60", closes the face and lands it on the centre of the green like he was on a practice round. I'll never forget that.

Richard Jacobs And Arnie didn't have the stats to match Jack. That is not what we are talking about here. Arnie was admired and loved by the public in a way that Jack never was. Same with Michelson. Even with superior stats, Cheatah will never be held in such high regard. You're kidding yourself if you think that this is a comparison of stats.

The thing I'll always remember about Mickelson is when he took his kids to crispy cream the morning after he won the Masters, and he was wearing his green jacket. When he told the story he said, "Well it was chilly, so I threw a jacket on". Anyone else it would be arrogance, Phil Mickelson, pure fun.
