Great list. A few more to consider: The high Uintas, the largest place contiguously over 10K feet in the US, with hundreds of remote lakes buried in the trees, recommend bald mountain hike. Escalante national recreation area, recommend grand gulch or coyote gulch hike. Anything near Moab, recommend biking or jeeping slick rock. Skiing or exploring big/little cottonwood canyons near Salt Lake. Skyline drive road over the mountains of central Utah, recommend exploring the beautiful dirt roads winding through the Aspens in the Scofield Reservoir area. A few more gems: Calf Creek hike, Mt. You're correct about Dead Horse Point State Park. While Canyonlands NP and Arches NP get all of the traffic, you're wise to take that left turn off Highway 313 before you get to Canyonlands. The views are spectacular and you're roughly 2,000 feet above the Colorado River. The last time we visited, there were maybe 10 people there with us. And, when you leave, take a right-hand turn onto the sandy road that leads east. If you have a high-clearance vehicle, you can travel thru Pucker Pass down into Long Canyon. It's about seven miles long and affords one a close-up view of the internals of a canyon complete with a 600 ft drop-off and switchbacks. It's also a nice shortcut back to Moab and takes you right along the Colorado River. Thanks for posting this video. While I already had Escalante National Monument (Burr Trail, Coyote Gulch, and the slot canyons) planned for this summer, I've now added Goblin Valley State Park. It looks fantastic.

Around 1979, my wife and I drove to Goblin Valley. We were the only ones there, which gave it even more of a feeling of solitude. But as the sun went down, and the Goblin shadows got longer and longer, creeping and reaching towards us, we began to feel uneasy. It was freaking spooky. We got a little scared in the empty and darkening landscape, and left with goosebumbs on our entire body just as dusk was ending. No idea why we felt that way, we're not at all superstitious. It was just a very spooky feeling as night began to fall.

Awesome video . I'm 59 tomorrow 13/02 . I'm old and worn out massively. Live in the Uk . I follow Matts off-road recovery based in Hurricane Utah . Been thinking for awhile . Mmmm lets go on vacation to Utah . In the 80s I did an overland trip for as a truck drivers mate 3 1/2 months to Saudi Arabia then up through kewait and Iraq spending a long weekend in Baghdad. It was an incredibly beautiful place back then . Then a year later I did a 6 week road trip in British Columbia with my best mate . They are major highlights in my life big time oh yes . Especially as now it's so difficult to travel through Syria Jordan etc . Been on trips through Europe too . But they just don't conpare at all . Enjoyable 100% Just craving the great outdoors and been thinking for a few months now . Utah seems to be the place to visit . I'm not a city person just love the great outdoors/ wilderness .

Be careful of “swimmer’s itch” if you go to Sand Hollow during the summer.
@JaxLittles3 жыл бұрын
What's that?
@Wannabecrafting2473 жыл бұрын
@@JaxLittles it's a little bug something that causes a rash on your skin and makes you itch. It thrives in warm, shallow water. Just sayin'. But, Sand Hollow IS a fun place to boat.

This is an incredible video!! I've been to a few of the spots you feature but the drone footage is incredible. I wonder if you can enjoy most of these places from the ground as much as you can from the air. Thanks so much for being there and sharing!

Nice. Sorry to see the ATV leaving nearly permanent tracks, but the rest was pretty awesome. If you like Goblin, check out Little Egypt. The layers of colors are even more striking in those goblins, there are just not as extensive a display.

Utah has a lot of hidden gems. I love living here, we plan all our vacations in state. I love your pics and descriptions, but it's very obvious you are not a Utah native by the way you pronounced "Kanarraville", "Hurricane" and "Zion".
@KevinEassa3 жыл бұрын
yeah definitely not a native, but man do I love Utah and I will continuously be coming back!

Every part of Utah has a different style of speech or brogue. Central Utah has one of the deepest accents I've ever heard I've lived all over Utah and I love every bit of it

Kevin, this is some of the best quality and creative photography (still and drone) I have seen. You could work for AZ Highways, or National Geographic! Great work man.
