Hi kids, enjoyed the video. It was one of many I watched before moving to Panamá. I moved to Boquete almost 6 months ago and have not looked back. Meet my Spanish maestro at Perfect Pair for lessons. I live in Jaramillo Centro and my house, which is an insane bargain compared to the US, has a million dollar view of Volcan Baru. Rainbows on your doorstep, spring every day. Come back and visit!

@@awabooks9886 that's awesome. Boquete had a large US retiree population. We made friends with a good amount of US expats. I loved the climate being up in the hills but close enough to go enjoy the beach pretty easily.

Thank you so much! We flew from Florida to San Jose, Costa Rica, then road a bus from there. I've seen a lot of KZbinrs drive their vans from the States, all the way down to Argentina. It's definitely doable but you have to stay aware.

I'm from Honduras but grew up in the US. Crime and poverty go together, plus in those 3 world countries the police, which are not in a large#, are underpaid, not trained like ours, and not willing to risk their lives for no one. You are on your own. If you risk it, you are gambling with your life. Be careful, you've been warned.

Young 35 years old woman named Stephanie Rodríguez just got brutally killed few weeks ago in Chirique province near Bouquet. Only people who don't know anything about it would say such thing! Do your own research please!

@@msvaleriadelcarmen That was a Panamanian woman, not a tourist, and she was killed by a Palestinian man in David which is a large city 40 minutes from Boquete. Murder happens everywhere, and it was not proven that those hikers were murdered. They could have gotten lost, hurt, attacked by a jaguar - no one knows for sure.

I would imagine swimming in Boquete would be a pretty chilly experience. On the other hand, in cold water it's more unlikely to get a brain eating amoeba up your nose.

Yes, that was a tragic event, but we never once felt unsafe throughout our three week stay. There is crime and murder everywhere (plenty where we are from).

Panama is not a island and boquete is not and island, panama is a republic of panama is a country not a island , boquete is in the country side of panama republic of panama on for your information panama of a 100 + island.
