I didn't find it shocking but maybe that's just me. He never gave assasian vibes. Yes he does that 1 kill in the very beginning w/ hidden blade but everything about him screamed Templar to me. I also happened to read the lore about how Edward kenway was killed and his son haythem was taken and turned into a Templar. Pretty sure Edward wanted him to be an assasian.

For some reason, the Templar seem more organized and civil than the Assassin's.

I assume that's just due to the nature of the Templars. Templars tends to have more structure and organization than the Assassins because the core philosophy of the Templars hinges on order, while the core philosophy of the Assassins hinges on disorder/chaos.

It... does happen. We have only seen sincere and honorable templars in AC3 and Rogue, where we control them. And a bit of this in Unity. In other games most templars are ruthless sinners

whe have seen a lot of Assassin turned Templar, but i never see Templar turned Assassin, let's hope Ubisoft do it in the future
