Lived in Utah for 5 decades, so wanted to see what you picked. As I expected, your picks are heavy on trendy spots in the downtown area. Sort of a " we're not backwards and boring, we've got trendy spots like other big cities" thing. Been to Red Iguana, The Pie, and Park Cafe, but not the others, because at my age trendy means crowded, noisy, and expensive. Thanks for this, and hope you do more of these.

I agree with most of your list but excluding Red Iguana and Takashi (which are excellent) most of the restaurants (even the highly rated ones) in Salt Lake City and utah are average in comparison to many other major cities in the US. It’s much better than it used to be but anytime I visit other major cities or certain small towns along the coast I notice how much better their food is.

The only other one on your list that I've heard of is the Pie and that's because of the one here in Ogden (thank god). That one I gladly go to 1-2 times a month (sometimes more). Now if we could just talk the Red Iguana to open a restaurant in Ogden. Do you plan on doing any videos for Ogden? I know it's not as big as SLC but we do have some very good places. I do love the Pie but Slackwater Pub & Pizzeria is another great pizza place. Thanks for the suggestions.

Really? what does it say exactly? we have tired most of these. We are not plugging any of these restaurants. We did a poll with local residents and asked them what their favorites were. We also did research and talked to other local blog writers to see what research they had come up with regarding the top 10 most popular restaurants. I don't have to eat at every restaurant in the city to do a video on what the top 10 most popular restaurants are. This video is not called MY TOP 10. Going around to random videos to cast judgement on people that you don't know says it all...

Are there really 1000 restaurants in a city of 200,000? One for every 200 people? I think you mean the entire county because the whole state of Utah has 3000 restaurants for 3 million people, or about 1 per 1000. I'll bet the actual number for the City of Salt Lake is closer to 250.
@LivingInNorthernUtah8014 ай бұрын
ummm, I think you should do some quick research instead of just making numbers up. A quick Google search would prove your numbers to be inaccurate. 250 restaurants have opened in SLC in the past 18 months. There are over 1100 restaurants total. Utah has over 13,000 restaurants.
@larryjex64854 ай бұрын
@LivingInNorthernUtah801 I apologize, I guess it depends on how you define "restaurant", which I thought meant a sit down/brick & mortar establishment. I guess Portland has over a million if you count all the food truck pods and carts.
