I met her. She was visiting an alcohol detox unit,I was visiting a friend. She was utterly lovely and normal. I remember when she held the hand of an AIDS patient. I feel that Diana had some fantastic qualities and if the royal machine didn't swallow her up she would have made something of herself in humanitarian work. Unfortunately, Charles didn't get the woman he wanted, was forced to find someone and she fit the brief. She had struggles and was brought up in a modern way and he was brought up with a different history where having mistresses wasn't a social no-no. They were doomed from the beginning. It would have been very interesting to see what she would have gone on to do.
