I listened to all these records in prep for this vid and while listening g to Graffiti I got this weird vibe of the Association but mixed with psych and prog which I didn’t pick up on before I mean Association is more like pop or melodic rock but there’s a good bit of that on that Graffii LP! This is the big one!! Top 10 most Cosmic Psych Mindbenders! The Velvett Fog I'm still trying to track down. July is a banger! I have the S/T Ultimate Spinach. US followed by Can is definitely a recipe for a freak out 😂 All 3 Thirteenth Floor records are incredible. What a voice the Rokster possessed too. Greylock's artwork is wild. Tomorrow is brilliant. Hey Ben! Many of these of course are reissues An original copy of Gandalf is rare as hens teeth! And twice as expensive! I think there’s reissues of Velvett Fogg floating around out there that are pretty affordable so don’t give up the quest! Before joining the VC I had no idea who the Elevators even were! So much great music out there that remains undiscovered by this Cosmic Being! But I will remain on course to find them all! Thanks Ben! ✨✌️👽✨

Hey man. All those lps you featured are spectacular. Mind Flowers should be the Psychedelic National Anthem. You turned me onto Greylock Mansion, it sounds like an acid trip in a haunted house. Love it. Gandalf is legendary. I just showed that Freak Scene lp on my IG, for some reason I have promos of both the mono and stereo. I have bought multiple copies of the same records too many times, most recently bought another Runaways lp. I definitely have a troubled mind, as described by Ultimate Spinach. Trip Through Hell is a rare gem, but all those shown are as well. Keep the psych coming. I'm currently on an acid folk kick. Peace.

I bought my last record for awhile today ( famous last words), money is going to be super tight, just lost my health insurance, waiting to hear from work supplied insurance company, which is way more expensive than what I had. Fucking sucks because I have a heart ablation scheduled in Cleveland in 2 months which might be in jeopardy and I'm on Eliquis which is mega expensive. Fuck man. Anyway, I ended my purchases today with one of my top 5 grails, finally getting my grubby little hands on Banchee "Thinkin'" for a fair price on Discogs. Ending it with a bang, that is unless my other top 4 show their faces. You only live once. Glad you're feeling psychedelic, tune in, turn on, drop out. Peace.

@@heavyblissDude I know the whole health insurance racket pretty well as I’m a Utilization Management Nurse and I work for a hospital out of KC I supply clinical info to the insurance when people are in the hospital so that they cover their stay! And they can be wicked but without insurance it’s rough! Yeah man hope that ablation is still in your future as that may help ! A-Fib right? Eliquis is an expensive drug without insurance that’s a fact!

I am still on the hunt for July. Plus, I think there is a compliment to it with demos and alternate versions of what appeared on the original. That Psychedelic Psoul must be a reissue. Oringinal beat-up copies cost a lot. Dark and disturbing? You must have First Utterance by Comus (Folk psych).

Thought I was having a flashback there for a minute. Shifting Sands is a great psych track. I love West Coast Pop Art, those 3 LPs they put out are some of the best psych albums ever! July are awesome, very of it's time. Behold and See is my fave Ultimate Spinach, the first is not too shabby either. What would a psych video be without 13th Floor Elevators? Boring! Easter Everywhere is fantastic. I think the title refers to resurrection of the soul, or some such nonsense, but at any rate, it's a monumental psych album. I never heard Greylock Mansion, but I'll check it out. Tomorrow is another great psych LP, love My White Bicycle. Haven't got into Gandalf yet, but heard good things about it. That Psychedelic Soul album has been on my list, but haven't seen it in good shape. C.A. Quintet A Trip Thru Hell is great, I have the single album version. Maybe I'll make a psych video if I can find stuff I haven't already shown. Good choices Brian, later man.....🥴😵😵‍💫

But yeah heavy creepy psych with a heavy handed organ sound! Weird ass lyrics! It’s on Lysergic Sound Distributors label! I know you can find it online somewhere cuz I’ve seen it! I have the 3 West Coast Pop Art albums and there all great! Gandalf isn’t heavy psych but it just sounds awesome Love the vocalist it’s mellower in its trippiness! Talented musicians too! It's CosmicVinyl time again! WCPOEB intro! Always a psych classic! ....Coffee, ...oh yes, of course my friend! ...Ultimate Spinach, great background trip for the electric lettuce! "Mind Flowers" is my fave from that LP too! ...I remember Graffiti! ...used to have the original LPs of all these, lucky to have the CD reissues now! ...Now Greylock Mansion I don't know - now on my wanted list! ...Never could find an OG Gandalf - never in the budget bins to my knowledge! ...I did just recently snap up one of my personal grails though - a beautiful copy of White Noise, "An Electrical Storm" - a truly (and spooky!) head classic! ...Another great presentation - as usual!

Yeah I have the comp with Greylock Mansion I believe it’s the St Alberts Dream comp? The songs on the album are so bizarre lyric wise and the organ is heavy handed and creepy LoL! Price of vinyl just keeps climbing , even thrift stores and flea markets here in the Toronto area have jacked their prices and with everyone checking the price on their phones, its harder to find holy grails cheap. Yeah West Coast Pop Art was technically covering Zappa's Help I'm A Rock but they changed it around so much it's almost unrecognizable 😂 Have you heard Jade Warrior? That's the prog rock band with Tony Duhig and Jon Field from JULY. They have a bunch of albums all killer. Floating World is probably my favorite. Easter Everywhere is most definitely in my top tier of psych for sure. I've seen Roky perform live on Halloween a few years ago. I think Tim Leary called his organization League for Spiritual Discovery 😂

Hmmm...That's a quite conservative take on psychedelic music, isn't it? only rock, only from a very specific and short period... How about abient, drome, musique concrete, electronic music, psych folk, indian classical music, shoegaze, Post industrial, experimental, avant garde, spiritual jazz, dub, etc?95% of all the music I have is psychedelic, and rock is not even 5% ^^Anyhow, let's go psych, but for real now ^^ cheers

Yes all true. It's because the genre 'psychedelic music' has always been narrowed to rock records, that I was formerly confused about what psych music really emcompasses. It goes far beyond sixties rock records from the American Midwest

I love Tomorrow's "My White Bicycle". The guy riding around doing shenanigans on his bike, kicking his neighbor's trash over, etc., is echoed on The Baroques' lp (which I think came out around the same time?), in their song, "Bicycle" - acts of 2 wheeled, self-propelled hooliganism (I think the cops are even after the guy somewhere in the song).
