Another nice video, Dillon. I must have sleep-walked through the late 60s/early 70s (my high school grades would support this) because I never heard of any of the albums you reviewed! But I'm currently streaming "Moon Blood" by Fraction and your comparison with Jim Morrison and The Doors is spot-on. Thanks for the info.

Enigma and Strawberry Path added to my hit list. Japan really embraced the heavy rock sound. Blurs Creation, Flower Travelin’ Band, Too Much… To suggest a couple more you might like, this time from Quebec, Dionysos and Morse Code. Both heavy psych bands of the early seventies who developed into prog bands. The first two Morse Code albums are under the moniker, Morse Code Transmission, which are harder and heavier than the next three albums which take on a strong Yes influence. Dionysos’s first album, Le Grand Jeu, from January 1971 closes which a killer proto-doom track, Agneau de Dieu.

I actually have the Scorpian Brothers album, haven't listened to it in awhile, will soon. I was a dj at the campus radio station in the mid 70's and went through the promo records that the station got from labels all the time. "Iko Iko" was one of them. The two that I will NEVER give up are Masters of the Airwaves (self titled) and Adam Miller "Westwind Circus", both amazing in totally different ways. Enjoyed the rundown Thanks

Good to see you finally got a copy of Moon Blood. I assume you're keeping it and not selling it. BTW, that extra disc with the three songs are super rough versions of songs they intended to put on their 2nd album which never was (because they didn't have money for it; barely did for the first one). Anyhow, did you know that someone out of the UK has recently offered a picture disc version of this album as well? I have one, and there are still a few still offered for sale on eBay. You should get one, because I know you're a fan. Maybe one day I'll sell my original release to you!

Keep on putting out the videos even if it is proving to be expensive!

Why does no one talk about Journey's self titled debut album that came out in 1975? Such a great album. Greg Rolie does all the vocals (no Steve Perry on this album or the second one for that matter) and keyboards. Neil Schon of course on guitar and there was a rhythm guitarist named George Tickner as well as drummer Prairie Price (member of the Tubes). Very cool progressive rock feel to this album. Nothing like there FM radio friendly classic rock stuff.

Great picks. My German wife says that people use the term kraut-rock for all music from Germany 🇩🇪. You got to love her. People still call her a Nazi and she always gets upset. I promoted you at least two times on the video I made this morning. You are welcome. Hehehe. Good stuff.
