you can its just tricky. You have to go to the back after the last little tunnel where it turn right find the spot in there that lets you build and then use triangle foundations ceilings and pillars to build out from there and connect all the way to the front of the cave. It is a bit tricky to do. Once cliff platforms come out you can build down from them then out with triangle foundations.
