Appreciate the wind notes! I personally play singleplayer so I always build in the blue ob oasis. No kapros, mountains all around, and right by the open desert. Just need a wall between you and the occasional noisy neighbor that might wander down, though rare. (Yuty possies.)

Edit to add: I was already on spot #4, and had no idea about the wind spot just over. That was my one big complaint about the spot was that 20% wind.

I love Red Ob but it doesn't let me place down a metal water pipe in the water at any of the Obelisks on a Nitrado server, so I assumed it's to stop people building at Obelisks in PVE, unless I had my server settings set up wrong haha! Only reason why I never picked anything near an Obelisk :(

For silica pearls red ob literally on the ground all around on sand abiut 10 ft from red ob terminal and in water surrounding red ob there bunch there as well id guess about 30-40 nodes/pearl rocks just around red ob all within 20 foundation length distance maybe so don't have to search for them or go far to do pearl run just run around the water of red ob when you complete a lap move into water an repeat doing a lap around the ob terminal best place ive found an occasional yuti or carnos ive seen odd time but other then that can just walk up to them much easier then island for sure I know there was little lake on island or rivers you could walk into an harvest some but only like 5 or 10 an there was under water cave that had massive amounts clustered in tiny room but this red ob location in scorched is far easier an alot more pearls nodes/rocks

I must admit this map is far hotter than the one in ASE haha, it's tough, I pump more levels in fortitude, found some good ghillie armour blueprints and take shelter, it's really tough in the early game though :(

If you're looking at the section in your inventory it's bugged, it's 3% everywhere on the map when you look at that haha, Holding H when not in your inventory shows the accurate wind percentage!

Pretty much! The map is so much more difficult to survive when compared to ASE, temperature is ridiculous, most of these spots have longevity that will last until the end game, while being somewhat easy to get to even without any tamed creatures XD
