All this talk of cream (or creme) and pudding is making me hungry! I think it's just Wilde that you're reading plays, Will . . . Sorry, but I couldn't help joining in with the awful puns. I'm glad you enjoyed To Ride Hell's Chasm, Ed -- I'm hoping to read more fantasy standalones too. Janny Wurts' masterpiece series is The Wars of Light and Shadow, and I don't think it's writing that you can binge. I personally have to take my time when I read her rich prose. Marvelous to hear about some of your favorites so far this year, gents!

Nothing makes me happier than seeing the bros back together!! Looks like this is already shaping up to be an incredible reading year for both of you. I am sooo eager to return to the Gael Song, it's been too long! And I also really need to read me some De Castell!! Some of my faves so far are The Storm Beneath the World by Michael R. Fletcher, Mushroom Blues by Adrian M. Gibson, A Strange and Stubborn Endurance by Foz Meadows, A Love Song for Ricki Wilde by Tia Williams, and The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna. It's been a diverse reading year so far and I love it!

What a list. The Gael Song series is amazing, though I haven't read the novella yet. After that review I might even start it before the end of today

Will I don't like reading plays for that same reason. I also miss the inner monologues and descriptions of settings. Also we haven't had a good "MAYBE!" in a while - still cracks me up every time.

Great video gents! Awesome seeing your fav reads so far for 2024! Loving seeing all the incredible books including WOKAP by Shauna Lawless & TRHC by Janny Wurts on your list! Just finished WOKAP and had a blast! And yes, Gormlaith is the new Cersei can I can't get enough of her! Looking forward to your number 5-1 reads in the year thus far!!!

I'm with Dr. F - let's hear more about this creme! Is it a East Sussex specialty? 😄 JK. I'm excited for Hanged Gods as well. Had to sell a kidney and two toes but I'm finally a Broken Binding subscriber. Glad to hear audio is good - I wouldn't dare read the actual book after paying so much for it LOL. British Ed - someday you and the fam need to come to Ohio and hang in Tecumseh territory. There are Native American artifacts out the wazoo. Plus there's an entire play performed daily in the summer about Tecumseh on an outdoor stage. It's really well done.

😂 Broken Binding really do produce some beautiful work. We would absolutely love to get to Ohio one day! All of that sounds like a dream to me. Fingers crossed next year 🙏🏼 Ed

I agree with you 100% regarding Words of Kings & Prophets! I wish more booktubers would pick it up too! It is a book crime that no physical copies of the novellas are going to be released until March 2025??? I actually will be waiting for the audiobooks so who knows when I will actually be able to “ read” them.☹️

I agree! More people need to read this series. Oh noooo that’s way too long to wait. Ed

@@thebrothersgwynne I am just finished with «Empire of Silence» and Petrik & Jake Bishop are group-pressuring me (though in the nicest way, after all Petrik is Southeast Asian and Jake Canadian😄) into start reading «Howling Dark» right away, but I might sneak in a Cyberpunk book or two (I have «Island in the Net» by Bruce Sterling and «Idoru» bu William Gibson) to get into the mood, as I know Ruocchio have mentioned «Blade Runner» as a reference for «Howling Dark». Cheers!
