I hate GT, I really do, but one thing I do like about it is the super saiyan ape design, my BIGGEST beef about it is Gokus ssj 4 form. He turns into an adult, yet he's still in a body of a kid. When I saw it the first time, I was like "Oh so he's an adult finally!" But nope! As soon as he's no longer in the form, he's a kid. Again. The design is great, but the logic of the transformation! Just doesn't make sense to me. I have a shit ton of more problems with it but that is the biggest problem I have with it.

One thing regarding Pan, is that her potential was horribly wasted. Considering her lineage, being the granddaughter of Goku/Chi Chi and Mr. Satan, all three martial arts fighters, as well as being the daughter of Gohan and Videl, also both strong martial arts fighters, and her Saiyan heritage, she could have, should have, been a strong fighter and become the first female Super Saiyan. I will agree she could be annoying, so I think, like when Gohan was a kid, she could have undergone training and realize her potential and become less annoying.

Unfortunately, Dragonball GT is not a good series This series has attempted to duplicate the sweet, cute, childlike style and humor of Dragonball classic, along with the great dramatic fighting of Dragon Ball Z, and to say they failed to mix these two things is an understatement. You can tell right that the people just managed to get close to Dragon Ball or even to surpass them unfortunately they did not consider that there are two different tones and moods that can not be combined, unfortunately they repeated far too many scenes and battle sequences to stretch the time and unfortunately the humor became so silly and childish that even Dragonball was ashamed of it. some elements and opponents are completely questionable and the design is undecided of course there were also good moments but the worst moments are so dominant that you simply can not ignore them. The cheap animation of the questionable drawing style of too many contrasts contains the colorful spots are too colorful and the dark spots are just too dark the completely elongated arcs that really like a bubble gum pull and you really have to torture yourself as a spectator so I slow everything down retold. and the poor portrayal of the characters there are some moments when I did not get the impression to see the characters that were actually created in Dragonball and Dragonball Z as well as new characters do not fit into the concept here at all. There is no question that many people do not like so it just emerges from nowhere and my cries for help is addressed the omnipresence of Pan is here but pure torture because nothing can do nothing and their arrogant boastful nature even the child in me or others Children get on their nerves and make the whole story even worse afterwards and unimportant supporting characters have far too much screentime and text that does not match their age and mental maturity plus Son Goku is always, always, always, always, and always the hero of the game History so that the importance of the other characters is zero. Of course there were good moments as mentioned above some ideas were nice the soundtrack is one of the best of the entire Dragonball franchise the design of the Super Saiyajin 4 is really bad ass despite my dislike of the concept for a quadruple super Saiyajin who was the death of Piccolo just a cheap trick to press on our lacrimal glands, however i would be lying if i say he didnt touch me and the end is beautiful and actually the perfect way to end Dragonball after all this time unfortunately you had to scrape through so much trash and more childish Crawl through that's not worth it at all and it leaves only a bitter aftertaste. I could watch the end of Dragonball GT 100 times but the less I see from the rest of the series the better.

One of my biggest complaints is how cheap the animation felt and how much of an eye sore the show was. The lack of color, detail and emptiness in the show itself felt so transparent. It’s as if they budget was so low they would just do mock ups of the character designs and throw it all together last minute. The lack of style and good animation puts it low for me. At least with super im getting vibrant colors and the world feels alive. It’s computer generated which is the only downside but it’s clear and concise and has a vision that one can easily see. Good visual action, with color schemes and sets, with decent character models that may appear skinnier or older but still in line with who they are

This was a great video. Even though i didn't hate GT, i definetly acknowledge how disappointing it was. So much wasted potential, especially the Baby arc. You made a great point about them bringing in movie villains instead of the lame original ones we got. The Garlic Jr filler arc from DBZ was way more entertaining than the opening episodes of GT, where Goku is globe trotting. Show didn't get interesting for me till Baby showed up. I actually wish Toei would do like they did for Brolly with Kale, and redo the Baby villain correctly in Dragonball Super. They could rename him but keep enough from the GT version that fans can get some nostalgia.

Personally I view Dragon Ball as the best series because of many reasons including being the most fleshed out character wise and the best story in the series. Fight scenes were also animated great sure we still had Kamehamehas and occasionally other beam attacks but most fights were more material arts based and you really saw some good tactics in fights.

Z is awesome I agree being the most hype inducing due to the constant power ups and cool in concept villains. There however things that really hold Z back from being better then Dragon Ball and that is regarding the story especially with the end of Buu there were just too many plot holes in this series. The soundtrack was possibly the best here Kenji's score was cool and Z of course kick started the series into the beloved anime it is here in America.

GT and Super I both view as okay with Super overtaking GT. GT gonna tackle first I felt was good in a lot of aspects SSj4 is my 2nd favorite SSj transformation off the design alone rather then Blue Hair SSj4 is more primal and really fits the series. Story wise though GT is probably the weakest because of concepts that either don't make sense (Super 17) or just underdeveloped(Baby Arc and Shadow Dragons) the best episode of GT is of course the ending for not the fact GT is over but rather it is the best way to end the Dragon Ball story for me personally.

You know who else "didn't train" for Super Saiyan 4? Goku, he simply only got it from the Kais pulling his tail out, also Vegeta has relied on technology before, don't forget that he used to rely on scouters until the battle Raditz had on Earth(when he and Nappa arrived was when he stopped relying on Scouters) and the rejuvenation bath things as well. Also Vegeta relying on his beloved wife's technology is no different from who he was than say him putting Goku in the rejuvenation bath so that there'd still be a chance to defeat Frieza was no different from who he was in his early appearances, he was not focused on strength at that moment, just dealing with a huge threat to the World that he called home.

The movie "Dragonball Gt legacy" was mad depressing dude, like did we need a time skip that far? Was that necessary, everyone is dead except for pan where is her kids (goku jr's parents) , where's roshi he's a immortal, where's bella she should be around Pans age & where is her kids, also Goku leaving Earth at the end of GT because he thought he attracted trouble doesn't make sense because he tried that in Z and it didn't work. GT should have just ended with everything going back to normal. Like just them at a World Tournament or something, like goku vs uub rematch or a fight where pans actually goes Super Sayian or the Z Fighters attending with their End of Z design confirming they back on their training grind ,you know just throw a couple interesting wow moments in there. GT definitely gets a W for most depressing time skip in anime, and unnecessary, for example imagine the world hundreds of years from now, you will most certainly be dead and everyone you love, yeah pretty depressing thought , that's how I feel on this.

I remember when gt 1st Time aired here in Austria Thanks to the German Censorship, a lot of episodes suffered from heavy Cuts Plus 13 episodes were never released, unless you count the gt Box sets, which are in Japanese with german subtitles In any case, back then I thought, I missed some episodes But that's not the point When gt finally aired, hardly anybody gave a shit about Dragonball Anymore, we had multiple reruns of DBZ already In fact, I was like, "oh, now they finally present it to us!?"

I literally just finished GT today, deciding to finally watch through it since I only watched DB and DBZ as a kid. I wasn't particularly interested, I just wanted to know what happened. It was pretty underwhelming to say the least. -Pan was unbearable. -Baby was just Cell and Buu done again, but badly. Also what a terrible fucking name for a villain. -The fights were just plain uninspired. I noticed specifically when fighting Omega Shenron, even THEN they reused SO MANY ANIMATIONS. It got old, fast. -All of the villains were fairly uninteresting. Rildo was dull. Super 17 looked horrendous and had no real reason to be there. Myu was literally just Gero again. The surrounding plotline with 17, where all past villains escape hell was already done in one of The Z movies. -My only exposure to SS4 previously was through the games and I've never liked the designs, seeing it in action hasn't changed my mind. How Vegeta achieved SS4 was BS, his character would NEVER go for that. Plus then HE was the one that mentioned FUSION. NOT GOKU. VEGETA. Goku would always have to do the convincing for fusion. Plus when did he learn the dance? Goku never taught him. He was dead when Trunks and Goten performed it. Unless they took Fusion Reborn as canon for GT? Plus there was so much build up for SS4 Gogeta and then he fell flat on his ass by dicking around. Not to mention his finisher being Big Bang Kamehameha, done twice, wasn't even remotely enticing to watch. And Omega stood there like a dumbass for him to do it, BOTH TIMES. -They mentioned Goten and Trunks fusing numerous times but NEVER LET IT HAPPEN. Regardless of who they're facing, Gotenks would undoubtedly be more helpful in a fight than them both separately. -The ending was terrible. Why did Goku leave with Shenron? Like you pointed out, he did the same shit with Cell and it didn't make a difference. With Pan being an old AF grandma, that means all of Goku's friends and even ChiChi are likely long gone. So they never truly said goodbye. ChiChi always got shafted with Goku's antics and to have her go on the rest of her life without him is pretty awful to think about. Plus if they were gonna bring back Giru/Gearu after Shenron's final wish, why wasn't he with grandma Pan at the end too? Pointless. I'm done but my god I could keep going. It was just so disappointing. I don't understand why they made Goku a kid again. Reliving OG DB doesn't work when an enormous amount of people that watched Z didn't even watch DB (which is still true to this day) I would gladly rewatch OG DB and DBZ or even Kai, but GT isn't one I'll ever be revisiting. I'm glad I finally got around to watching it. But it left one hell of a sour taste. Hopefully the new Super movie and upcoming seasons are good, since I haven't touched the manga so I haven't a clue what happens with Granolah or the other arcs.

For me it was the Black Star Balls. Their mere existence created deep plotholes that immediately took me out of the series. 1 - Supposedly, the Nameless Namek created them before separating. So why did Pilaf have to inform King Piccolo that Dragon Balls even existed, when they first met? 2 - If they were kept at the lookout for centuries if not millennia, how did anyone know enough about them to write the scrolls that Pilaf found and used? 3 - How did Pilaf's aircraft even reach the Lookout? I can't recall any aircraft making it that far. 4 - If GT is a mix of canon and filler/movies, why didn't the prior Guardians try and destroy Pilaf's crew? 5 - If the Black Stars destroy any planet they are used on barring a 1-year return time, how does anyone know this? If used on Earth, how were they re-gathered before Earth people had space flight (that we know of, but still it seems a recent development in DB)? If used on another world, how did anyone learn that was the reason that world was destroyed, and again, how were they regathered on Earth? So Pilaf gathered a super-secret variant of an already legendary artifact based on scrolls that are questionable in origin. These were partly created by a villain who Pilaf himself had to tell the things in their basic form existed. He had to reach a location only a handful of mortals ever have, one that defines hard to reach because it may as well be Heaven. The area he entered had no real booby traps or ghostly surprises. The rules about their use seem to contraindicate the things even being on Earth or there being an Earth if they had ever been used. When you have that kind of question churning in your mind within the first fifteen minutes, it's not good. Suspension of disbelief is sustained by cool, fun and awesome, and coupled with GT's other problems, it went over the cliff and into the mouth of a shark who spit it out in disgust. Last thing: M*A*S*H actually tried something like the Kid Goku thing with Colonel Potter, when they made their brief sequel series, AfterMASH. They took this rough but kind wartime commander and made him subordinate to bureaucratic administrators, thinking it would show off a new side to his character. Like GT lasting 64 eps to DBZ's 291, AfterMASH ran 29 eps to M*A*S*H's 251. Like GT, there was a reason for this, and like GT, a reason cited was to get back to M*A*S*H's wacky early seasons. So Yeah.
