I remember when I got my first iPad in 2010 and 4.2.1 didn't have an untethered jailbreak for windows. I would constantly scroll through cydia for tweaks and winterboard themes that constantly made it lag and search for sources knowing everything regarding iTunes and iFile. iOS meant something special because although it was popular, it was pretty rare to have an iPad back then at least where I lived. 1.) Battery life is only noticeably affected if you install too much stuff. If you get a few tweaks for convenience, it shouldn't be a concern, let alone the biggest. 2.) Old firmware is NOT bad. Sure, 9.0.2 was buggy as hell, but unless you get the new iPhone every year, you'll find yourself running into performance and battery life issues in no time if you install every update Apple rolls out. And some of the new features can be emulated via Cydia tweaks. 3.) We don't jailbreak for f.lux or SBSettings (Control Center). It's the other way around. Apple creates "innovative" new features jailbrakers have been using for ages. We get way more flexibility with jailbreak than the stock features will ever get. And that's just stock, I haven't even mentioned stuff that's never going to be in stock FW. 4.) Self-explanatory, even you said it wasn't an issue. 5.) Stick with reputable repos and compatible tweaks, and control their number, and you'll never get an unstable device. 6.) Same as 5. 7.) There are several ways to circumvent these. This may be the biggest concern, but you can use safe mode any time. 8.) Don't expect devs to give stuff away for free. This is against paying, not jailbreaking. If I were a developer, I'd find this down right offensive. 9.) If you don't want a jailbreak anymore, there is little reason to stay on the older firmware. For everything else, there's Impactor. 10.) Again, this isn't against jailbreaking. It's not "addictive" like drugs. Some people watch sports news, some others watch eggplant porn, and I watch jailbreak news. It's not like I'm suffering from it. 11.) Apple flips us the bird too by killing older devices with slow as shit firmware and unsupported new features. Why couldn't Apple give the iPhone 4S and 5 the Night Shift mode? Because that way you'll want the new phone. See #2.

I used to Jailbreak consistently when the iPod Touch and iPhone first hit the market and I was able to get my hands on a iPod Touch. The only thing I remember was how bad, and laggy it was at times. It was still cool to have themes, free apps, music, whatever else you could think of, but it was annoying as hell! Today I own a iPhone 6 Plus, and I think of Jailbreaking it just to see what's the hype, and what has been going on since the years of 2007-09. Like, I hear so much good (and bad) about it. I just fear of loosing all my current data, and needing to restore it. It happened so much where I would loose everything, and i'd have to put my music back on my iPod one by one. That was the shitty thing about it back then. Now, I rarely hear of any issues like that.

Honestly, I just wanna jailbreak my iPhone just to be able to download music from Safari and listen to it on my Music app as well as use my unlimited LTE to download large apps (+ updates) and pick the resolution I want to on KZbin. The only other tweak I'd want is to select different functions on 3D Touch contextual menus, such as Peeking a folder and selecting one of the apps inside it. Other than that, I don't care about the fancy CC, colorful animations, themes, icons, etc. I just want to use my iPhone as a standalone device and not have it rely on any computer nor WiFi. Unfortunately, that'd mean sacrificing battery life and having random reboots. Dat dilemma.

I jail broke once years ago and I absolutely hated it. It just wasn't useful to me at all. Also it made my phone super slow permanently. Never jail breaking again.

I had an iPad 3 and had 2 major problems with jailbreak. 1. One time my iPad randomly powered off and the ENTIRE thing wiped! 2. In the end my iPad ended up having this glitch that continuously tapped the top and rendered the device unusable.

I've never Jailbroken a device, I really don't have a reason to want to. In my experiences with ios over the last several years. I've tried different things, and just haven't really wanted anything in the end out of my devices but apple's designed features. I however have come to the conclusion that I don't like a single platform for everything either. So be it a computer or tablet, I like to explore different options to see which ones work for me best. Currently i have a Macbook Pro, 3 ios devices, and an old desktop I repurposed as a Linux based media server. I think all the platforms working together for me is a much nicer experience.

With this error 53 mess coming about I recommend that you guys forget about jailbreaking. One of these days Apple is going to implement e-fuses in their phones and when Apple flips the switch don't say that I didn't warn you. Samsung currently does this with Knox and if rooted it blows the e-fuse. You will no longer be able to use Samsung Pay because the device has been compromised.

Jailbreak is only if you cant afford expensive apple products they also have a new battery tweak fix that doesnt effect it now
