People are quitting Brawlhalla because the head of BMG basically doesn't know what he wants to do with the game. They ignore the community and just add more and more skins expecting that to satisfy the player base. I doubt Brawlhalla will fully die, but on the route it's on its definitely taking a swan dive

Nah, Brawlhalla is dying. Pretty sure the Steam player numbers will not improve as much as hoped when Multiversus hype dies down. Just look at the graph with the focus of a year. You can see where Brawlhalla saturated and is now going on a decline. Of course there will be rises in playercount every now and again during the decline, but you cannot deny it is a decline.

Personally the aesthetics of brawl are awful, not a fan of the 2d look. That alone is enuff to never pick it up. Plus theres nothing in brawl that makes me go ooh i might want to try that. It just doesnt look fun im sorry. Mv instantly makes me go okay i hav to at least try that based on the roster. Plus it looks great. Every character in brawl looks too smilar theyre all just copy pasted sprites with few differences. Like genuinely why wuld i play brawl over MV there is zero reasons

The mechanics are very different from one another, making them have very few things in common besides being placed under the same “platform brawler” category. Multiverses isn’t brawlhalla but better, that’d be like trying to compare Counter Strike to Overwatch. calling it “smash but on PC” would be far more accurate of a description. This is the main reason why I think it’ll survive, just at a lower player count. Brawlhalla is definitely ugly as shit, because it was originally made by an indie studio, while multiverses had a huuuge budget to make it marketable, and the player counts reflect that.

@@tunafish9112 interesting insight. Ive never played brawl myself but hav been watching some content on it after mv started blowing up. This is why i only compared visuals of the two as i know nothing of brawl mechs personally. I just feel brawl is missing that "grabber" to really get ppl invested or interested in the game. By no means does the game seem "bad" or anything on its own.

@@25Jake multiversus is fine if u have never played smash or brawlhalla. if u have, u would realise how much clunkier multiversus feels imo. the main reason why multiversus is doing so well is because of warner bros characters, if the same game was made by a standard game company with its own characters it would not be doing nearly as well. Most of the appeal of multiversus, at least for me, is "i can make lebron james fight batman", if u get my point
