One of my math professors is kind of like Professor Umbridge. Umbridge: 1. Her students only learn by reading the textbook. 2. Her students aren't allowed to try doing the magic they have learned about in the textbook until the practical exams. My professor: 1. We learn over 90% of the material by reading the textbook. 2. All of the homework is due at the end of the semester, which means that we have no idea if we're doing the problems correctly until the tests and quizzes. The good thing though is that my professor is nice. Take Umbridge, make her nice and give her some polyjuice potion that has the hair of an old overweight man, and you get my professor.

Umbridge always kinda scared me because she is literally the evil version of my godmother; she is an older woman who loves pink, has a giddy girly personality, loves cats, has a very high pitched voice, had a signature fashion sense in the family, she (admittedly) has a face that just barely resembles that of a toad (sorry!), etc (the list goes on and on). Unlike Umbridge, however, she is the sweetest person you could ever meet. Still, the similarities between them are very unsettling.

Madame Lestrange and the Dark Lord ran the country from Malfoy Manor... the rest of them, the ones I interacted with in London, answered to me. Turning the wheels of the state, staging coups, prosecuted traitors, and manipulating the masses may not be as glamorous as "glory on the battlefield" but it's just as neccesary and every bit as powerful. You don't succeed in this field if you can't handle yourself in groups... I dare say I was quite well liked among groups like the Death Eaters, as we seldom disagreed. If the only groups you're considering are the Order of the Phoenix and their weak muggle sympathizing allies then no, I suppose I don't we well in them... those groups are insufferable, so I was sure to dispose of them as soon as was possible😏 *shrill giggle*

You liked the direction the ministry was now going, if anything you were their fall lady. And it's easy to climb the ranks when you are just doing what you normally do in your everyday life anyway. At least other people got imperious cursed on them to do bad things and Bellatrix Lestrange did things for Voldemort's affection, you did things for nothing! Which is just sad. Aren't you in Azkaban now? How is that going for you?

I'd been undermining the Order and preparing the groundwork for the change of Government for years... If you'd paid very careful attention youd've noticed the subtle hints of cooperation but I take it as a compliment that you didn't. You really think I was associating so closely with Malfoy, Yaxley, Travers and the rest and didn't know their history, who they were really... that I stood at the forefront of the Death Eaters coup, and had no idea who it was couping in my favor or who I was couping with? You think I had no idea why I was gifted auror Moody's eye? Was just playing Fudge against Dumbledore for a passive giggle? Does the Dark Lord strike you as the type to put someone whose allegiance he's not sure of in charge of the highest legal body in his country? Politics and manipulation go hand in hand... and I'm quite comfortable with both... subtly can be a powerful weapon in the right hands. And I didn't do things for nothing dear... I stood by my ideals. As did Lestrange, Yaxley and the rest. A world where the magical don't have to hide from the muggles, where animals don't hold sway over people, where true order reigns... that is a world worth fighting for. What was Dumbledore fighting for that was so admirable? Continued fear and subjugation under the muggles that massacred his kind in a history spanning genocide. How honorable of him.😂 As for Azkaban... Well I wouldn't be here if it weren't for the fact that Shacklebolt knew I did know what I was doing and with whom. Pity he and his collaborators weren't brought down at Hogwarts. Even bigger pity the Dementors were replaced... they'd have let me out in a heartbeat. Oh well... the Order is still naive as ever. It's only a matter of time before the Augurey sings, and the Order falls for the final time. I'll be waiting patiently. *giggles* 😊 🖤🐍💀💚

Umbridge to me and to a lot represent a certain of person that we have to deal with in everyday of our lives in society: Like the childhood or school bully that we see in everyday. She reminds me of bully in high school - the popular, vicious, mean girls and it brings up bad memories. She is a bully. She fell pleasure seeing you in pain and found joy in making your life harder than it already is. She represents corrupt government official : She's the nasty official at the ministry who laughes at your face if you ask for a bursary. She's the racist hag who speaks to you like you were an infant because your mum isn't caucasian. She's the asocial commuter who occupies the seat next to her with her ridiculous pink MK bag during rush hour. Yes, because government in the real world is nothing but a flawless clockwork made up of morally sound people brimming with common sense... She represents our unreasonable teacher: She's the sexually-deprived teacher who lets you fail in every exam because you don't live up to her standard. She's every unfair teacher who punished for the smallest mistake you do because they don't like you or because there is nothing special about you. She represents our horrible boss : The boss who made you work every weekend. The boss that doesn't appreciate your hard work but instead give the credit to someone who just seat the entire day doing nothing.

Dolores Jane Umbridge inevitably got her comeuppance after the defeat of Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters.
