Social media hasn't helped relationships---guys think they have all these options out there when they really don't. It fools these guys into thinking that they are all casanovas and hey if they want to talk/whatever--they just go online and there's all this out there. A real relationship is not online---it's right in front of you--actually in your face. You start hearing where people can't meet anyone (unless it's online)--how in the world did people get together before the internet?

We broke up because I found out he was flirting with a lot of girls on fb(we are in ldr). I got so hurt, jealous and betrayed... He even lied to me even there was already evidence. Instead of saying sorry... he had the guts to fight with me and blamed me for his mistakes. I was so emotional and hurt... and he pulled away. But who cares.... I'm now trying my best to move on. I wish I did not beg him to get back together months ago. But atleast I learned my lesson now. I still love him but he changed into a different awful person...and I definitely don't like him now! I used to be very shy and lack confidence. After I took up swing dancing, my confidence has increased a lot. (Plus I care a lot less about getting a boyfriend/having a guy flirt with me than before.) At first, only the men were asking me to dance (I wasn't comfortable asking them) Now, I have no trouble walking up to a man (even a complete stranger) and asking him to dance.

Shall we make some videos for guys, too? ;) I know some clingy, needy, jealous, possessive, over texting men - but when a guy does that it's romantic, when a woman does it, it's pathetic. Bloody double standards. Cheers :) Keep up the good work. Great, inspirational and funny videos. A guy broke up with me yesterday (I guess I was too needy for him being more affectionate) but I handled it like a lady for the first time in my life (I am 40...) but I came home and watched your videos till 4am crying in bed with my dog. Things that turn me off: men bun, greasy hair, poor personal hygiene, men talking too much, empty words/ compliments (beauty, love you etc.), men thinking women should do the work, men criticizing women, men trying to turn the game around and having unrealistic expectations, men telling how women should be and behave when they should be just grateful that they even got a chance, 50-50 men, men going after 10+ younger women, fat bold men thinking they are sexy and money makes them attractive, week doormaty women who have fallen for men's tricks and arrogant attitude and contributed in a huge part that low-quality men have such an attitude towards women as most of them do and like this guy does

Yes I was needy with a Man once & he told me Look your beautiful I’m flattered by all your Attention. I need space though- he was right- it happens. At times in life we all become needy -I feel. Give him his space & freedom show him your good -it’s ok & do your thing. If he Values you sees this change in you etc..he will come back- if not then move on. Don’t look back you messed up timing may have been off too etc..

I think my problem is, well, two things. 1. I'm really comfortable with myself and so when guys start talking to me I come off as aloof or "too confident" and unavailable and 2. I'm super tall so the intimidation factor added with the fact that I'm generally no nonsense makes guys tuck tail and run. I dunno what to do about it? I think I'm gonna just let romance take a back seat because all of my ventures into it have been spectacular failures 🙄☹️

To me confidence is a feeling, I feel confident out of the sudden, like you wake up and the first thought in mind is "I'm so cool". Or you have a good mood and that makes you feel confident and when I feel like that I have confidence to say something to my crush or something like that.

I can get that it might be "unntractive" to ask where something is going or what we are, but I will do it. I believe it's necessary in today's world. People will literally date for fun and thats not what I'm looking for if I really like someone. I think getting overly emotional about the answer (done that before lol) might be where it gets bad?
@ElliotScottDating8 жыл бұрын
Well, prepare to have men lie to your face just like I use to telling you they want the same thing when they don't. lol. Just let it unfold naturally. Ask too soon and it won't work out I promise you. It's probably my number one reason of pulling away right behind over texting. It just feels weird to men when it's brought up. You know the feeling when you're having a great time with a guy and he's being really sweet and then he ruins it by saying something sexual? Yea, that is how it feels with men when a woman brings that stuff up. lol. Today's world is no different than other generations. I don't know why every millennial thinks that...every generation had guys who were players, didn't want to commit, and talked to multiple women. We just think our generation is different because we read a blog post by Thought Catalog or saw a post on FB talking about it. It's no different. In fact, it's much easier than before! Dating is supposed to be fun and a GUY WILL ALWAYS COMMIT if it's the right woman. ALWAYS. So why they may be dating for fun, it's because none of the women he is talking to did a guy job on winning him over and showing him they're relationship material. Just because you want a relationship and really like someone doesn't mean you deserve to be in a relationship. I remember I got out of a really bad break up and at the time I wanted nothing to do with a relationship. I just wanted to go around, pick up women, get numbers, and so on. No intention on getting a girlfriend until one day I went to hookah bar with some friends and met a girl who would change my life. We even hooked up the night I met her! Dated for years after and she was the best gf I ever had.
@cwilson5868 жыл бұрын
I value your opinion as a man Elliot :)If a guy lies to me.. well there is nothing I can do about that. I am open to exploring and having fun. In fact, that's the point I'm at as I'm about to graduate college and don't know where I'm headed. That said, I know what I want. I think there is a difference between "I am open to a relationship, I just don't know if you're the woman" and "I have no interest, I'm so unsure.. " right? I'm not trying to put pressure by bringing it up, and certainly wouldn't do it weirdly soon. (I've done that in the past I can admit) And I would never believe I "deserved to be with someone" lol. Mutual selection is probably key for the long-term I'm thinking of. Also, I would say today's world is a bit different as the age of adulthood is being pushed back in a way. People are getting married a bit later (educated middle class on average) if they do at all (products of divorce). So that's my opinion yes, but based on facts. I am overall grateful for the video and advice!

so we had been dating for like four almost five months. and tbh he was the one that was clingy and everything, but that's what I wanted. I wanted attention and to be able to get away from my family he was my sanctuary, and he told me I was his paradise. I didn't believe it. I had always had self esteem problems BC I was bullied when I was veeeery young, my weight, depression, my family had just gotten over a loss, it was depressing just to listen to and more, SO all in all I had problems, he looked past all of that And loved me. I guess that's why I got soooo attached to him. I spent every ounce of my free time with him! every moment I was free i was with him or he showed up to my house and we just chilled, I swear it was like we were together for YEARS we were so close and him and my family were so close too. it honestly felt like a long term relationship. I was going though another bout of issues, then suddenly one day, two dayz away from our five months, he texted me and just flat out said, it's over. next day, I text him and ask why, he said, I kid you not! "we don't text enough," as far as I knew. was doing a great job at being a girlfriend. we had already handled the virginity thing and figured ways around sex. what else did he want from me blood???

If you want be his girlfriend, you just slept with him and he didn't say you are official? You just became his booty call. Never have sex before he tells everyone that you are his girlfriend. Easy. And the guy who has a girl best friend - probably he's into her but chose you to fill the void, happened to me too many times. So now on no guys that has the girl best friend. Or any girl that he's talking daily and is liking all her pics on fb.

How bout a man's red flags... he goes all in 1rst then decides he doesn't want commitment, or to be tied down as he says, I give him space but it isnt enuf. He's said he doesn't want to ever live w a woman again, doesn't want to ever have to worry bout future things w a woman, doesn't want a family life, he's says it's too exhausting, hes set in his ways and his alone time more so than avg person... He txts me, but initates it seldomly, the sex was amazing for both of us, he opens up bout some things, hes fixed my vehicle, we actually met when I hit a deer and turns out he lives near me. He's gone outta his way to fix my car a few times, I know he likes me and cares for me at least in some ways. Cud these walls ever come down or am I just wasting my time?

confidence an action in the moment neediness clingyness seeking validation you are going to give a guy a lot of power.......You dont Want That! seeking approval wants a woman who has common sense help add value the overall team dont seek his approval for anything just Do You one of the reasons a guy does not open up because of your emotional dependancy he does not want you to act more needy more insecure he does not want that drama, he feels supressed... guys need their space time with men and time with you when he is pulling away chill let him pull away he has to get away from his guys and feel loved and nurtured over texting BE FeMine Ladies

Some men are put off by women who have confidence!! The most important aspect of being able to find - and be with - a good man, and yet not all men can 'cope' with a confident woman! Why is that? If a man has most attraction towards a woman who is confident and who does not omit red flags, then why are there so many men who shy away from a confident woman!?!?!? I'm not talking about arrogant women, as that is something else. Please, an insight into the men who actually don't like a woman with confidence would be great, too. Thanks xx

friends new gf is regularly doing 8 red flags from the first week they started going out 2 mos ago. She'd also now goes by his last name after a fake fb marriage announcement three weeks ago she then said the same day they didn't do it. He's so mentally pushed down by her that he lets her get away with all the abuses she pulls and says it's him "unconditionally loving her fully like he should and always will". She also not at all his type nor did he want kids in any form but got hers now too. So what is this that happened to him?

it's true I always lose guys when I over texted ! thought it made connection stronger but it's making it weaker ! it gets boring and too much to a point where the guy starts backing away.. especially if I'm also seeking validation/approval in the texts. (is that same thing as showing him a picture of a cake I baked as if I'm thinking he will say it looks delicious? or not?)

My relationship is fairly new, 3 months. But my man is an "over the road' truck driver...we rarely see one another so how do I keep his interest? Keep it fresh and exciting for him? He's worth the "education"..

Dang, watching this I’m kinda nervous I’ve already displayed most of these red flags to the guy I’m seeing...but we’ve been seeing each other for almost 10 months and he doesn’t seem to be going anywhere

I'm a girl, but in relationships with anyone, of any kind...if the other person shows me they're jealous, well that means that deep down they know they have reasons to be, because they're a "fraud" hahah. As in, they are lacking something. Or they bring something to the table that is too much. So that's when I'm out!

Sorryscene whenever I meet a chick that's judgemental of guys, it shows how petty if a human they are and I drop her immediately.

Is it too needy to ask how he feels after a certain amount of time? It seems like a fair question.

Elliot Why do mean tease? I just heard something that said by teasing a man you draw him closer, All of my life i have not known this and wanted to "talk" to be close....tell us ....do men tease us because thats how they feel close to us and deep down they want us to tease them because they want to be close and thats how they do become close to us...

Have you noticed, that we are not ALLOWED to be WOMEN? Clingy, emotional, needy - those are all emotions. And we women FEEL them.

What does a healthy relationship look like and what are the rules that a man needs to follow? I feel like us woman have to follow all of these steps and rules or God forbid the man loses interest.

If a guy has the flu and all you do is text maybe every other day as to how he is doing, is this wrong?
