In RE1 Director's Cut, choose the advanced mode. When you use the red gem on the tiger statue, it gives you 3 magnum round speed loaders. Take ONLY one, exit the room, and return. That one loader is replaced. Repeat as needed for as many magnum rounds as you want. Works with either Jill or Chris. You're welcome. NOTE: Doesn't work in the DualShock version (the one with the crappy music), only the original Director's Cut.

That glitch is absolutely Essential on PC. After the minecart derails in the mines and you have to spam a button to climb up, it is impossible to get past that on PC. You literally have to use the Ditman glitch to proceed.

@@impervious2knife282 Nothing wrong with the key. There are multiple parts of the game where you have to tap the X Key really fast. I got past all of them on my first attempt except for the minecart. I swear I was tapping the button as fast as humanly possible but no success and every time I failed I had to go through the super monotonous and easy minecart section just to fail at the very end because of Bullshit.

In resident evil 6, if you keep shoulder swapping while firing you can skip the recoil animation. This is really useful for weapons like the shotgun or magnum, which can get the firing speed of something like a machine gun, and allows you to unload a godly amount of damage in seconds

@@zipzippy1941 I should have been more specific. If you get Rebecca on the first floor, you can enter that room and leave and it will work. If you get her upstairs in the library room, then you have to kill the hunter. I forget exactly how you spawn her upstairs but we use this trick in speedrunning all the time to skip the hunter fight when Rebecca is downstairs. I believe where she ends up is based on how long you take to get there.

As for the boulder run scene in RE4, you can also use your rocket launcher at the boulder from above. Destroying it and preventing the indiana chase sequence.

The #7 glitch at 3:26, I achieved with Claire first before Leon, so it's definitely possible with both characters. Though with Claire, it was odd. Instead of Birkin grabbing me from the top, he actually swooped me up from the floor to the top of those obstacles.

Sorry, i know its a year later but there is a variant of the glitch you can do that gives you a large quantity of Explosive bolts (they are pretty OP) It's not infinite but it's great for speed runs

There is a glitch that I discovered using a turbo controller in RE2 (Regular or Dualshock Versions) for the PS1. I had submitted this to Gamewinners.com years before it turned into a forum site, but was never posted. It can work with either playing as Claire or Leon. Aquire the submachine gun from the weapon storage room located in the RPD Basement. When equipped, aim at an enemy with R1. Set the turbo for the 'X' button (if you have one) OR rapidly hit the 'X' button at the fastest speed possible to trigger the glitch. What will happen is that your character will shoot one bullet (using ⅓ of 1%) and shake. The enemy will bleed just as long as the 'X' is rapidly pressed (manual or auto). I recommend trying this on a hoard of zombies. If you have the game for the PS1, try it for yourself. I'm even curious to know if it works on other platforms, so if you do have it and it isn't a PS1, it'd be worth a shot ...... ...... ...... ........no pun intended

A neat/useful RE: Outbreak File#1 Glitch: Any special attack that requires holding down the aim button for a few seconds to trigger a separate attack state (Kevin/Alyssa's potshot, Mark's full swing; does not work with George's supertackle) can be done infinitely after the first time by spamming attack (while aiming) and holding either left or right on the D-pad. With the right timing, you can fire a full magazine of potshots into a target without deviating from the target, or full swing across the map. This infinite state will persist until either the weapon breaks, you run out of ammo, or stop turning.

Glitch in CV/CVX also done for 255 explosive bolts, used generally with first half of the speedrun. Picking up items in RE5 protects you from dangers, such as explosions, grabs, and attacks. Very useful in Mercenaries, as well as main game. RE3 locked door before dead factory. If you have dogs/hunters and you open the door with the key, hold the action button after discarding the key. The enemies freeze until you let go of the action button. Works on all versions of RE3. REmake. All versions have stair skating. A must use in speedruns. Fixed in REmake 2, but then came aiming boosting on stairs for increases of speed.

Regarding the invisible Birkin glitch, I had something funny happen once. If you use a cheat to save mid cutscene you can freely move around during the cutscene. I shot at Birkin activating him then Leon returned to normal, crouching down to Ada but Birkin kept hitting him out the crouch animation and Leon would keep trying to crouch down, the cutscene looped on infinitly.

In Code Veronica you can also avoid Bandersnatchs that grapple to you from different maps by holding the run button, and gently tapping forward. if the footstep sounds don't play you can scoot through enemy triggers without them actually going off, it's super weird.

Idk if anyone’s mentioned this but in the RE1 remake, if you get get hit on the same frame you enter the menu, the game will completely fuck up, including corrupted messed up models and being unable to open doors and then it eventually crashes. I’ve only seen footage of it once in a speedrun lol

Speaking of getting knocked out of bounds and falling endlessly. In the new re4 remake, if you get picked up and slammed by the final boss, in a certain spot/way you will fall out of bounds and fall endlessly. I sat there for about 15 mins wondering if there was a death plan and nothing happened. I ended up having to restart the fight as a result. I'm not exactly sure what exact circumstances are to get this to happen, but I do know it was the result of being slammed down right on/around one of the inner corners of the boss arena where you start the fight. This happened to me about half way through the fight. You can definitely tell you were never meant to fall of the edges off this game.

I never really made an attempt to get the best rank in any old-school RE game but I think the infinite herb glitch might help a little with obtaining the best rank possible in CV HD(in other words, I just want the rocket launcher lol). I also don't know what's worse, a Crimson Head or a headless Crimson Head that's still alive.

That glitch can be made even more useful if you're going for the best rank as it can also be used to give infinite ammo to one ammo type. I hear the explosive arrows are the best choice, but I haven't tried it myself.

I once managed to achieve the "walking in air" glitch in Resident Evil 2 (PC version, but should be possible in other versions, too) in a different way/scenario: while I was playing "Extreme Battle" mode with Claire, at the Racoon P. D., near at the part where you have to put those 2 statues facing the one in the center to obtain one of the 2 red jewels in the original scenario. At that point, T-103 came to chase me, so I decided to return to the first floor through the stairs, but he managed to throw me a quick punch attack just at the time when Claire was starting to go downstairs. So, she ended up recovering from the attack, but in middle-air! I tried to continue playing, but all I could do was going upstairs/downstairs, couldn't open any doors or even suffer any attack from T-103 (he was following me and throwing punches, but didn't reach me). Guess I still have somewhere some screencaps I did at that time (just a few images, couldn't record the screen...)

In Resident Evil 2 - Remake, during the Birkin fighting where you have to hit him with a brain, he grabbed me just as the conex struck. The game was confused with playing the grabbing animation and Birkin nearly going over the edge animation. The result was me trapped inside the conex and Birkin walking on air where is supposed to fall. It was my first playthrough and was mad because I had to reload the save, redoing the boss fight all over again.

When I first played Code Veronica in 8th grade I somehow figured out that dropping the doors would deactivate the zombies that would break through. In PC versions of RE 7 and 2 Remake, the Knife does damage according to your FPS, so If you have a powerful setup, your knife attacks will do way more damage than regular weapon

In RE1 original, I was playing as Chris. The Tyrant stuck me in the abdomin, lifted me up, and threw me into the wall where Chris went out of bounds. He could stillrun/walk, but did not go anywhere. He was also covered in blood.

On the topic of RE4 and boundary-breaking, one of my favorites is able to be done in two areas, though one is useful and the other is game-breaking. I think it's patched in the HD versions for the hitboxes, but if you jump over the fence in the area in the first (or maybe it was second?) chapter of the game, you can get Leon to clip through the ground and you can discover a pile of items, including an item that (if I remember right) will crash the game if equipped. You can do a similar boundary break that will make Leon fall endlessly in the first area on the island. There's an area on the path you first show up on where you can climb up a ledge. If you find just the right spot when jumping down, Leon will fall through the ground and fall forever. It's not quite as comedic as the animation from RE: Revelations 2 you showed in the video, but it cracked me up when I was a kid playing it on the PS2. 😂 While I love the RE series, I haven't done much research into the bugs in the games, so all of these were new to me! I thought for a second with the RE4 one where you were above the merchant that you were going to do one I know of in that area involving the boxes, but you surprised me with the super speed! You're mostly correct! The crash actually happens if you collect Ada's shotgun and equip it. It will turn into Leon's shotgun and has a chance of breaking the game more often than not so It's not wise to pick it up.

Not sure if anyone remembers but there's the item glitch on RE5. You need to give an item (preferably the rotten egg) to your partner in a co-op game. Then you have to quit but the player that is giving the item doesn't save their progress. The person receiving the item does. Duplicate eggs, sell, rinse and repeat. I used to do this on the Xbox 360 version. Not sure if it works on any other console.

I was playing RE5 Desperate Escape on professional. At the end fight I was standing on the center platform while a rocket launcher Majini killed everything including the bugs. Don't know if it was a glitch but it was fun to watch,and it made my life alot easier.

The RE1 knife glitch works with any weapon. Just shoot and then menu to cancel the recoil animation. Also there a cool glitch in the DS version of RE1 that’s let’s you skip getting the chemical. Just enter the room, quick turn, tap the knife button which turns your character back around and then ONLY press forward (you can’t turn or it won’t work but you can run) and the vines won’t hit you. You can get the armor key early like this and then the vines push you back out.

RE1: skip Barry from checking the blood. Walking past the plant(like you showed at the end of the video). Glitch the plant 42 so you can get the key faster. Skip the "Richard" cutscene.

@@pauIo1179 Barry and Richard glitches work with the camera angles stuff. Barry glitch- after you enter the dining room, take like running step(or half-step I forget ATM) and bring up the menu. It's very tricky, but if you do it right Barry will stop walking therefore no cutscene

In RE director's cut, advanced mode, there is a glitch for unlimited magnum rounds when using the red jewel on the tiger statue (details are on the internet). I don't know if it also work in the "s***ty music/dual shock version" of RE DC, that is a different edition of the game (many still don't realize). In the remake of 3 when playing as Carlos, I went up the stairs to 2f of the hospital and the falling zombie landed in a T pose standing upright. Catching a glimpse of it when getting the key was more scary that its actual fall animation.

My favourite re2 glitch is loading a Leon save with the Claire disc in or vice versa. Picking up one of Claire's weapons as Leon and then equipping it causes the funniest looking crash I've seen

Best healing item in Resident Evil is always the spray can. Well maybe the Red mixed with Green and blue herb because you can also cure toxins. But I can count on 1 hand how many times I ever got poisoned.

Agreed, except in RE2 remake cause the blue herb combined with red and green also gives you a lot more damage resistance
