Ricky is the reason I’m a fins fan. I found one of his posters in the 3rd grade at a Book Fair in grade school and I just thought he was the coolest looking football player I’d ever seen in the artwork. Been a fan ever since ❤️

Agreed. Definitely had GOAT potential and still one of the greats in my eyes. That combination of power and speed was crazy. Mike Dikta saw it hence why he traded damn near all the Saints' picks for him. Ultimately, it placed too much pressure on Ricky to fix an already bad Saints team. Couple that with Master P as your agent, you're begging for a disaster. It was obvious that he wasn't happy in NO. He was overweight, socially awkward, etc. As a Miami sports fan, when he was traded to the Dolphins it was equivalent to Shaq being traded to the Heat. He brought that type of impact. He got back to his Texas longhorns days and wreaked havoc. Too bad the Dolphins never upgraded the QB position and ran Ricky ragged. We all know what transpired from there. But all in all, if he really wanted to, he could have did some serious damage to the record books.

The crazy thing is the number nine play was actually Ricky Williams's most memorable touchdown in his own words. Because I'm a cut back the safety was not supposed to be there and the fact that it was Ray Lewis and Ed Reed on that Baltimore defense was a lot to him
