Vick forced the developers to have to radically improve the game, so tournaments weren't always Falcons V Falcons, and so people on defense had options and viable ways to stop him. Huge leap forward, and all of that stuff (minus vision cone, which I loved at the time) is still in the series today. They got to solutions a lot faster than annual games usually do, because of 04 Vick, in particular and how much impact it had on tournaments.

I love a running quarterback. Michael Vick has the ball ready to throw it and nobody is open so he is like screw it I'll run the damn ball myself. Vick is like a counter puncher type boxer. You try to tackle him and he gets really aggressive and evades the tackle and run like his life depends on it.
