John Marston was one of the first deaths that made my actually cry. It was just so devastating after such a long journey for his family to have it end that way. Never played Gears of War, but watching Dom's death was sad. But honestly, for me, the most impactful deaths in videogames were Black Beard's in Black Flag, and Slave Knight Gael's in Dark Souls. Also no Coup de grace for J. Marston was savage af.

Gears of War used to be such a powerful franchise. I remember how Dom changed from seeing the women he loved turned to a husk on top of how many of their freinds dying over the course of the war- but to see him close his eyes and how Marcus just started yelling for his only real friend....made me tear up as a kid and still makes me tear up as an adult
